I overheard a drunken woman shouting at the top of her voice telling people not to look at her and think she is a homeless person. She then added that her family is well off and wealthy and so people ought not to look at her and think that she comes from the streets.
She went on and said she has a solid family setting and so even as a drunkard, she belongs somewhere. She also added that she drinks her own money lest anyone think that quenching her thirst of the liquor can push her to go stealing.
But looking at this woman, she looked unkempt and was a lot to be desired state even as she boasted aloud for everyone with ears to hear. Nobody leads anybody’s life and what your family owns can never be yours. May be this woman was in some form of misery and could not allow her to really identify with her real self.
In relation to this, it’s obvious that some people tend to hide in a family name because may be of the wealth or the popularity. It may be a case where a family is influential but one should ask himself/herself what one has as an individual. May be your father worked very hard to acquire the massive wealth that he has now but him being a blood father to you does not mean that his wealth is your ownership.
Looking at this woman, one thing was clear that she was hiding behind what her family owns. Her self-esteem is wanting because if as a drunkard, she still wants the people recognize that she has an influential family associated with her.
Something else, making the people around her aware that she comes from a family was the only way to make her feel better and at least forget that people know her more of the drunken woman.
