Snoops and Curiosity In Other People’s Family Affairs

She came to him and said, “Is this your son? The boy is so beautiful unfortunately he does not look like any of you. I wonder how that is possible… but congrats anyway..”

She even had guts to ask if the boy looks like any member of the extended family— either from the kid’s mother side or from the father’s side. Damn! She was so adamant as if the man needed to start doing some investigation to know the reality.

Believe it not this was just a stranger who was just having a say about the latest child in that family. Obviously, she wanted to shake up things in that family by creating a doubt about the paternity of the child. But for what reason? What was she expecting?

People will always have something to say about something or someone. How could she say something so negative about this child when almost everyone was saying positive things about it? People should learn to appreciate things positively. Everyone has an opinion about something but negative approaches about whatever always leaves a dent of doubt and might result into other big problems.

In life, you only need to talk less about something, however controversial the situation may be. Reserve negative opinions to yourself or to those who do not matter…. But if you have to say something, then be brief and on the positive note.

It is absurd to think that you know more than anyone else, playing the perfect DNA machine for family issues that do not concern you, and making it your business to talk unnecessary stuff about them.

The person who is the first to know the paternity of the child is the mother. Only she can tell f the person she is staying with is not the real father to her child. Anybody else has no other chance of confirming the reality until the DNA test is done to ascertain the facts.

How Corruption Is Like The Beast Within

The hunting wolf is slowly getting there! At first, we thought that relevant authorities have been put in place to curb the ongoing onslaught against the innocent sheep. In other words, the lone wolf has camouflaged into something that the society has termed, ‘the DNA within.’ This is one dangerous situation but the big question is for how long are we going to tolerate the damage and who will repair the society and mend the wounds of the affected victims?

The wolf that some people would call, high level of corruption’ has hindered many development projects in Kenya. The beast has been feeding on everything that could give back to the society and rendered almost all important projects stalled.

Think of the Kenya anti-corruption commission (KACC). Kenyans entrusted the vested commissioners with the mantle of power to weed up corruption in public offices. The top commissioners are by now out of office because the wolf landed on them. Yes! The evil teeth caught them off-guard, leaving us with another question, ‘why them?’ Even though we know they are being victimized for their role against the wolf, their credibility is sinking slowly into the grave of nothingness. Later, they will be sent home secretly as the beast celebrate the job well done.

It has come to pass! That is the big fishes on the list of shame. Oops! Rumors have it that the wolf landed its paws on the list before the tiny report reached the parliament— the home of the beast. The discussions that followed there after saw men and women stepping aside to pave way for investigations. But now it has emerged that those who vacated the office are still enjoying all government privileges, including full salaries etc.  One wonders who authorized this but as it is, it only means one thing, and that is the winning wolf as Kenyans reserve their plans in ways of life.
