The reality musical singing contests that I grew up watching bid farewell in television. The television program that made popular these singers Kelly Clarkson, David Archuleta, David Cook, Adam Lambert, Colton Dixon, Jessica Sanchez, Phil Phillips, Carrie Underwood, Pia Toscano, Jordin Sparks etc. is now saying goodbye for good.
I am a fan of this show since the time of Kelly Clarkson. I even remembered David Archuleta singing to Kelly Clarkson during some video clips and there David Archuleta, almost winning the title. After 14 years, it was 2002, the first airing of American Idol, now it is saying goodbye. Kelly Clarkson is the first American Idol and was tagged as The Original American Idol. I love all her song. For me, she is one of the successful singers that came from a reality television singing contests. She made American Idol very proud of her journey. Even at present, she is one of the successful singers in America.
While I was doing this, I am watching the reply. It is the part where Kelly Clarkson was performing a medley of all of her popular songs. It was a recorded performance in advance as Kelly is giving birth.
I remember everything from the show. I have to admit the show lost its sparks when Simon Cowell left the show, followed by Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. When the original judges stepped out and were replaced, I do not want to watch the show anymore. The last time I watched the show religiously was when Jessica Sanchez was there and she became the first runner up for Phil Philips. Even if the show improved a lot during the past years, I can’t have the same energy and excitement.
As my pay of respect to the show I grew up with, they will always be remembered. I know there will be some shows that will grow like mushroom after this one. I know America will never stop building talents for music, as it is one of the most successful industries for entertainment. American Idol, you will be missed! Thanks for the wonderful memories!!
Note: I can’t get over to the beautiful rendition of Jessica Sanchez on the song, The Prayer.
