Believe That You Can

Believe you can and you’re halfway there.
Theodore Roosevelt
26th U.S. President

Believe you can, we can! If one can, I will. The power of confidence – we should always believe in ourselves. Keep in mind the “I Can” attitude. That’s the positive way of handling things in all our undertakings.

If he can reach the top of the mountain, I can do it as well.
If he can swim the deepest sea, I can swim too – I can float.
If he can run miles, I can sprint faster.
If he can climb the highest tree, I can reach that too – without harnes.
If he can dance gracefully, I can groove to the beat of the music.

I can achieve success no matter what obstacles that may come my way. No matter how difficult it can be – I can achieve my goals because I believe myself can do it. I can go with the flow – but I don’t just go there and let the current drift me away. I will swim harder to reach the shore.

If he can post three Blogjob posts per day, do not give up. Find a way to earn that achievement on a daily basis.
If he can reach cash out in less than 30 days, do not be hard to yourself. Examine your day-to-day activity – it is not the end of the world.
If he can buy the best quality mobile phones, do not be envious. You don’t live to boast things that you don’t really need.

It is a beautiful place after all – Believe you can!

Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.
Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

Good Education | Failure

A good education is not so much one which prepares a man to succeed in the world, as one which enables him to sustain a failure.

Bernard Iddings Bell
Episcopalian Cleric

People study to become educated. Our parents send us to expensive schools (for those who can afford it) or semi-private or public schools to study and learn. Education starts at home, just like Charity. When we were growing up, we were taught how to behave – we were taught all the good stuff (if not all – most of the good manners and right conduct). School is our second home. Academics and Values are taught here.

We go to college to earn a degree. Does your degree prepares you to succeed in the world? Or does it prepares you for a career that you like?

It does set you to failure if lack of it.

Education is the one thing that no one can take from you.

B. B. King
American Blues Guitarist, Songwriter

I always hear this when I was in school the Filipino saying “Ang edukasyon ay isang pamana ng mga magulang na hinding-hindi mananakaw ng sinuman” (Education is a gift / inheritance from our parents that can never be stolen)

No one can take my education away from me. It is one thing that I have finished and accomplished. 6 years in grade school, 4 years in secondary school and 4 years in college. After these years, I still learned new things – everyday is a learning process for me. I am not me or it is not normal if I am not learning new things on a daily basis.

Bottom line is — our abilities that matter than education. If we have both – much better.

True Friends

You must remember, family is often born of blood, but it doesn’t depend on blood. Nor is it exclusive of friendship. Family members can be your best friends, you know. And best friends, whether or not they are related to you, can be your family.

Trenton Lee Stewart

We can consider our friends as our family members even family members can be our best friends. We depend on our friends in times of need more often than family members.

How many best friends do you have? How do you select your friends? Do you have best friends?

I have a lot friends – and few best friends. I consider most of them as best friends. I can share everything or anything. Friends can criticize me – and make fun of me – in a very nice way. LOL.

I have selected my friends through their deeds. I look for a friends whom I can depend – in my ways – not just because they can help me – but because I know if I have one. I know I can be friends with open-minded people. I know I can make friends with an easy-going person. But I know I can’t be friends with a very sociable people who only want to waste their time with useless things.

They say that true friends are hard to find. And I remember the song “You’re My Friend” by Nelson del Castillo.

Here is the lyrics of the song copied from allthelyrics.

Many people say true friends
are hard to find
But I know I’m not that kind
They come and go and
sometimes leave us behind
Like a wind that passes by

(Cause)When you need a friend
That you can depend
You can count on me because
you’re my best friend
When you’re feeling down
And your heart is hurt
You can call on me and
i’ll be there for you friend

Good things may come and then
bad things may go
Like a birth a long time ago
You’re like the ship that’s sailing
across the sea
To the waves that’s so unkind

(Repeat Chorus)
(Repeat Chorus) Hold
(Repeat Chorus)

The adventure of life is to learn. The goal of life is to grow. The nature of life is to change. The challenge of life is to overcome. The essence of life is to care. The secret of life is to dare. The beauty of life is to give. The joy of life is to love!
William Arthur Ward

Everyday is a learning process. We learn anything under the sun. We learn new things day by day – and we call it adventure. We learn new things – the hard way – that is for sure. How do you learn to perfect your routine. Like riding a bicycle, we have to learn how to balance our body and how to pedal while balancing. This for me is an adventure. Because of this, we grow and this is our ultimate goal. We may change our behaviors and attitude overtime after learning to balance the bicycle ride, that’s the nature of it – change. We overcome challenges and obstacles that this crazy world may give. We dare to take any challenges that may come our path. We take on these challenges to continue with life. We must face every hindrances, for life has to move on. We won’t be able to achieve our endeavors without the desire to push ourselves to the limit. We give because that is the beauty of life and we love because it is the joy of life. We have a mission to accomplish in the game so-called life. I will live you today with another quotation from Jose Ortega y Gasset.

Life means to have something definite to do—a mission to fulfilled—and in the measure in which we avoid setting our life to something, we make it empty. Human life, by its very nature, has to be dedicated to something.
Jose Ortega y Gasset

Basic Values

We may have different religions, different languages, different colored skin, but we all belong to one human race. We all share the same basic values.
Kofi Annan
Former Secretary General Of The United Nations

We may have different categories of values like personal, family, moral, spiritual and others but we must keep in mind that we have the same basic values. Among these values we have honesty, truth, respect, and others. So whoever we are – race, religion, language – you are one! We belong to one human race. It is not all about what we believe, who we are or the color of our skin, what language we speak – it is all about the attitude and values we have.

If you don’t stick to your values when they are being tested, they’re not values: they’re hobbies.
Jon Stewart
Television Host, Writer, Comedian

I completely agree with this, it is not values when you only display your values only when you are being monitored. It is important to stick with the values you are displaying everytime, anytime. Not only when someone is keeping an eye to your every move. It will become a vicious cycle when practiced daily.

Life’s ups and downs provide windows of opportunity to determine your values and goals. Think of using all obstacles as stepping stones.
Marsha Sinetar

This definitely determine through personal, family and social-cultural values. Through these trials, our values are being put into test and the opportunity to better ourselves. The determination to fulfillment the task and achieve our goals can be done through our values – responsibility, trust, respect and honesty. If we have these basic values, we can absolutely get into the path of success. If we are down for a while we can bounce back taking one step at a time to ensure we get the hang of life – the ups and downs.
