PAX East 2016: TMNT Mutants In Manhattan Video Reveals 7 Minutes Of Gameplay

The iconic four turtles are back, and this time under Platinum Games. The latest entry that features Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael received some gameplay footage from PAX East showing rooftop battles and bomb disarming. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan will be available on May 24th across PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.

Platinum Games take on the four popular turtles was recently showcased during PAX East, and reveals the PS4 version straight from Sony’s booth. Although the footage is longer than an average trailer, it only runs for seven minutes — almost eight.

The video starts off with the Ninja Turtles jumping off one skyscraper to the next, and having to stop some villains in the city from detonating some bombs. This spans over the course of a few buildings but reveals that the city is much bigger in scope than one would think.

Something worth noting: the person playing doesn’t do a very good job demonstrating some of the game’s mechanical aspects or trying to make the game look fancy with sick skill. Instead we see the person keep trying to disarm a bomb while they keep repeating the process of getting blown up by a ninja above on a ledge.

Aside from that, we see the typical or “already revealed” fighting that consists of the turtles’ usual weapons and fighting styles. I do have to say that the game does look spacious and like you’re in a comic-book New York city with the scale of other buildings in the back. I also like how fast the combat looks, which to my viewing, seems quick and like it revolves around the other three turtles helping out in combat.

Although the video has just as many dislikes as it does likes, you can check out the captured footage of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan that YouTuber Roth Sothy acquired while at PAX East.
