ROG Spatha Gaming Mouse Set For Release At End Of April
ROG Spatha

Asus Republic of Gaming Spatha Gaming Mouse is set for release sometime next week in North America. The gaming peripheral will be available from Newegg and Amazon. To celebrate the nearing launch of the newest gaming device, Asus made a post on their site explaining in detail how the ROG Spatha operates and what gamers can look forward to.

The post on Asus website goes hands-on with the ROG Spatha wireless mouse, detailing how gamers can play either wirelessly or with the included USB cable with a 1000hz polling rate to eliminate as much latency as possible for the most precision afforded to high-end gamers who need to react faster than the sting of a bee.

The mouse sports 12 different programmable buttons that can assigned to specific tasks or utilized in ways that make macros easy to pull off. Some of these functions include assigning them system utilities, media control for volume or mic muting, as well as keyboard functions. There’s also the ability to easily disassemble the mouse and replace buttons and parts as if you were tuning a Honda CRX.

The mouse contains compatibility for eight different Omron switches, so if parts get worn or tired on you, it’s not impossible to swap them out and keep going like Jeff Gordon swaps tires in a pit stop. These switches are made to be easy enough to change on the fly that they even suggest in the article that they can be changed during a LAN party. Although, I wouldn’t suggest putting that to the test unless absolutely necessary.

If you aren’t playing on a wired connection you’ll have up to 15 hours of straight usage, according to Asus. This includes having the full LEDs on, but it’s suggested that if you want save that battery as if you were an energy-conscious tree-hugger, you can dim the lights down like you were spending a Friday night on a romantic getaway to Nostalrius… oops, wait, it’s dead.

Anyway, you can customize the LED brightness and colors to suit your play-style and aesthetic preferences. No color combination is off limits.

If you need to outfit your gaming arsenal with a brand new gaming mouse, you can look for the Asus ROG Spatha to go live in North America starting sometime next week as April rolls out to a close. For more information feel free to pay a kind visit to the official Asus website.
