Kill to Collect, the cyberpunk-themed action game featuring four-player co-op gameplay and four different playable hunters has officially launched on Steam.
The game is designed by Pieces Interactive and sports procedurally generated levels in a rogue-like experience where players will battle through environments, earning score and defeating enemies.
You can see what the gameplay is like for the isometric, co-op shooter with the launch trailer below.
Kill to Collect will be available on Steam on April 6, 2016 https://store.steampowered.com/app/241760/ So start preparing to earn your keep and die trying, as you travel further down this sleepless cesspool of murderous vagrants and cybernetic freaks, slicing and dicing your way to the bottom of your career.
One of the themes of the game is to get good and die trying. It rewards players who keep pressing forward. There are three different game modes, including a challenge time mode where players will race to get to the top of the tower as quickly as possible in order to top the leaderboards. There’s also a bounty feature in the Free Hunt Mode where players will freely go around to collect the bounty on the heads of criminals. The last mode is the standard Story Campaign, where players will play through the main game mode solo or with up to three other friends.
The early reviews for the game are all quite positive so far, highlighting the fact that Pieces Interactive have taken a dive into the cyberpunk world of synth, explosions and lots of neon colors.
It’s noted that the game is keyboard friendly, so if you don’t have a gamepad it’s no sweat for standard keyboard and mouse users. The gib-and-gore shooter is also said to be designed to the tastes of gamers who prefer a more casual experience. It’s not quite a bullet-hell twin-stick shooter, so you don’t have to be a grand-master stick twiddler to progress in the title.
