How To Find The Cross Shuriken And Hero’s Shield In Final Fantasy XV Demo

Those playing the Platinum demo of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV might be wondering where the secret Cross Shuriken and Hero’s Shield are located. If you can’t find the two of these special weapons in the demo, it’s safe to say that they aren’t that hard to find, and can be found on the PS4 and Xbox One version.

For those that came here just to learn about how to get the Cross Shuriken and Hero’s Shield, and not anything dealing with the story you will be in luck. The process might be a little hard at first if you don’t have a lot of life when attempting to get the two weapons, but you can actually get both secret weapons without loosing any life while fighting the boss.

Once in the center intersection of the street when fighting the boss, you will see a giant building towering over the other buildings in that portion of the city. Make your way to the backĀ  and start scaling up the building with your sword using the “Warp Points.” If you don’t know, you can do this with the Triangle button on PS4 and Y on Xbox One. Get high enough until you can look down and see a balcony in the center with two glowing pads on it.

This balcony will have a canopy over it, which if done correctly, you will be able to use that to slow down your fall to teleport over to the pads without taking damage. From here you will just need to step on the pads to obtain both the Cross Shuriken and Hero’s Shield. You can equip them by rearranging your slots in the option/equipment menu.

There are two videos showing how to get both of the weapons, courtesy of Ryudo Gaming and Revan619, which the latter shows the alternate way of getting the secret weapons without taking fall damage.

[Demo] Final Fantasy XV Platinum | Hidden Weapons Cross Shuriken & Hero’s Shield

After livestreaming the demo a friendly commenter pointed out that there were two items hidden in the citadel. So I decided to have a look around and I found the hidden weapons. The Cross Shuriken and the Hero’s Shield.

Set to come out for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, Square Enix will release Final Fantasy XV later this year on September 30th.
