Halo 5: Guardians Ghost Of Meridian Update Revealed In New Screenshots

Halo fans have something to look forward to with the latest Ghosts of Meridian update that 343 Industries revealed in a list of screenshots. Set to release sometime next week, Halo 5: Guardians will bring fans a new Arena map and Warzone map, along with the addition of new REQ cards.

The upcoming update that 343 Industries posted on the official Halo blog reveals quite a bit of the new content. Not only will there be new maps, but new armor sets and skins for weapons and vehicles. So if you are into Warzone and customizing your gear, you’ll probably fancy this update, as noted below.

“In addition to the below maps, vehicles, weapons, skins, armors, emblems, and more, Ghosts of Meridian will include a variety of game improvements based on your feedback, including multiplayer updates and fixes, sandbox, weapon, and vehicle adjustments, improvements to REQ Station UI performance, a lengthy list of Forge additions, fixes, and improvements, SWAT DMRs as well as a rebalance of SWAT game types within the playlist, and more.”

Like previous updates that hit the game, Ghosts of Meridian will bring one new Arena map and one new Warzone map that consist of Tyrant and Skirmish at Darkstar. The former takes on the aesthetics of the Forerunner’s structural designs while floating through broken-up asteroids in space, while the latter consists of a facility on the planet Meridian — which is noted to be one of the smallest Warzon maps.

Looking over to the armor, two new sets will be usable and are entitled the “Dynast” and “Mark V Alpha Reflex” armor. These new armor sets are accompanied by new emblems, assassination animations, and skins for your vehicles and weapons. Speaking of weapons, a special Gravity Hammer will make its way into the game commonly called “Tartarus Gavel.”

Players will also see new higher-ranked and much tougher Knights, and a Promethean Soldier in a UNSC Mantis. With that said, Halo 5: Guardians came out back in October 27th, 2015, and is for Xbox One. The game will receive the new Ghosts of Meridian update sometime next week.
