Massive Damage just rolled out its strategy RPG simulator on to Steam Early Access. The pixel-based game once had a nice successful run on Kickstarter, and now will feature the first stage of its ever-growing adventure on PC through Steam Early Access.
The sci-fi sprite simulator game, better known as Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander, finally entered Early Access and offers space lovers a nice supplement of space adventure. If you are the type that likes meeting different alien species, visiting strange planets, commanding your fleet against dangerous brigades of opposing forces, this just might be the game you’re looking for.
As the newly placed description reads on its Early Access page, it keeps it short and concise, allowing readers to take in its huge scope in a small package. You can read the official description below.
“Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander is a retro space strategy RPG with base building, deep tactical combat, crew management and emergent storytelling.”
When watching this game, I got some vibes from Star Trek as well as some other sci-fi franchises, but the main focus in the game is commanding your fleet successfully through the dangers of space. Though that might sound easy, It seems just as easy to lose your fleet to others.
The latest trailer that the devs published reveals a nice sum of what Halcyon 6 has to offer, you can watch the minute long trailer below.
