Space Hulk: Deathwing Receives First Gameplay Trailer

Fans of the very popular table top game, or I should say the Warhammer 40,000 universe, will have something to look forward to if they like FPS action. From the looks of Focus Home Interactive’s upcoming game, there will be a lot of Easter eggs, guns blazing and a load of classic weapons from the 40K realm. Space Hulk: Deathwing is currently slated to come out later this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Running on the Unreal Engine 4, the FPS game Space Hulk: Deathwing takes on a full tactical aspect of the Warhammer universe. Dark like Fatshark’s Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, the game looks as brutal as it does interesting. You can take a nice look at the first gameplay video, which more information related to the game will arrive in the coming months.

As mentioned in the video above, the game will set players in the shoes of the Deathwing squad, which is a highly trained elite team of five Space Marines, rocking the indomitable mass of Dreadnought armor, also known as Terminators. Like most games that feature teammates, players will have the option of letting the AI cruise control them, or tag along with fellow friends to take down the hostiles that lurk the gigantic Space Hulks in a cooperative mode.

The game also places those interring deadly missions in different giant ships that are based on the actual WH40K lore. And for those looking for a closer relation to the Warhammer world, writer Gav Thorp will be joining in on the action to provide some special content and hidden secrets throughout the game.

Focus Home Interactive and Streum On Studio’s upcoming first person shooter game will be due out sometime later this year, and will gain additional information in the coming months. Space Hulk: Deathwing will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

  1. Oh please, enough with those damn “co-op” games. I hate them so much by now. Just for once, I would like to see a Warhammer game, that is a single player game and not a strategy game. But I guess people hate single player games nowadays.
