Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Trailer Delves Into Choice And Consequence

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal released the latest trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It’s narrated by Adam Jensen, giving gamers a rundown of the situation he’s in and a breakdown of how difficult it will be to get things done in a society where a mechanical apartheid has been enforced.

The six minute trailer goes through some of the different ways in which players can make use of Jensen’s abilities, either going in guns-a-blazin’ or using stealth and the environment to subdue the opposition. The trailer does a fine job of explaining how in-game actions can lead to unforeseen consequences, some for better and others for worse. You can check out the trailer below, courtesy of Izuniy.

If that shower scene had featured a female and Anita Sarkeesian and her puppet master Jonathan McIntosh got a hold of that footage, there would be a 14 minute video talking about video game butts in showers.

Anyway, there’s nothing really new showcased in the trailer that we didn’t know about before. They spend more time showing the story elements, the tension between humans and the augs, as well as giving us a taste of that super sexy soundtrack.

They also revealed some of the special items included in the Day One Edition, which includes an extra mission and a Covert Agent pack, which includes extra skins, upgrades and custom items. There’s also a digital OST sampler and a digital comic book, ar book and novella.

The Collector’s Edition costs $139.99 and comes with all of the Day One Edition content, a 9” Adam Jensen statue, a 48-page art book and a steelbook. The digital editions both come with the Covert Agent pack and extra in-game mission, but you get the season pass with the Digital Deluxe Edition. All four versions of the game will be available on August 23rd for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. For more info feel free to visit the official website.

  1. I really hope this good and I really hope they didn’t try to appease the SJWs who attacked this game for no reason.

  2. I don’t see how augment aparthaid makes that much sense, unless it is an apartheir towards apple fags. It would be great if the devs used vigilant citizen site as a way of inspiration. Theres to little mind control and satanism in a game based about occult societies.
