Out of the Park Developments recently released Out of the Park for Steam gamers on PC. The title is an officially licensed strategy simulator from the Major League Baseball and MLBPA organizations.
This is the first time that the Out of the Park Baseball series managed to get the MLBPA official license, resulting in the development outlet being able to feature authentic baseball players, leagues and stadiums from the real life sports league.
In addition to this, they’re using FaceGen tech to ensure that they have the best possible images of real players, including player aging, real-time emotions and other nuances to help bring the baseball management simulation to life.
The actual baseball games also feature new 3D animations in 3D stadiums so that it’s not just numbers and stats fluctuating with every move. You can see a glimpse of the gameplay in action with the trailer below.
We are proud to announce that Out of the Park Baseball 17, the latest version of the best baseball strategy game ever made and now officially licensed by MLB.com and the MLBPA, arrives on March 22, 2016 on PC Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
The game has a very rich system of historical baseball data, containing a database of players and statistics between 1919 and 2015, featuring more than 100,000 real life players who stepped onto the field and retired from it… one way or another.
They’ve also improved the optimization for the game by adding multi-core processor support, stating that they’ve better optimized the game in this year’s outing with speeds increased in loading and performance by more than 60%.
A lot of the positive reviews for the game note that the multi-core support is probably one of the best new upgrades to this iteration of the Out of the Park Baseball series simply because of how much faster and smoother it makes the playability of the game.
The reviews also glowingly give Out of the Park Baseball 17 a lot of praise for the new AI improvements, which will challenge players in regards to dealing with general managers, player trades and scouts, to handling on-the-field decisions and player development over the years.
Out of the Park Baseball 17 is available right now over on the Steam store for $39.99.
