Wearing one of the more risque outfits featured in the game, Hitomi sports nothing but a lei flower necklace and a little hula skirt to match twice throughout the latest trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3.
Gematsu picked up the trailer that was posted recently over on the official Koei Tecmo YouTube channel. You can check out the trailer below.

I find it absolutely hilarious that most of the Japanese publisher YouTube channels have the comment sections and ratings closed off, but for the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 trailers the comment sections and ratings are alive and well. Most are filled with English speaking gamers talking up how much they can’t wait to get their hands on the game… or at least one hand on a controller.
The trailers have become a frequent occurrence by Koei as they lead up to the late March release of the game on the PS Vita and PlayStation 4. In fact they’ve already released trailers for a few of the other characters and they still have a few more to go. In each trailer they showcase some of the mini-games, the gravure mode, the owner mode and a variety of different swimsuits in which you can dress up the girls.
Typically when these trailers release there’s some kind of pushback or blow-up on NeoGaf with a puritan of sorts telling everyone else that they shouldn’t be interested in bouncing boobs and beautiful women.
Kotaku in Action has been monitoring the behavior of NeoGaf when these topics come up, and the latest thread regarding Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is actually… tame. In fact, when the topic creator seemed to hint at a call for censorship, the entire thread barreled down upon him like the weight of a dictionary hitting a “game journalist” in the face pointing to the entry of “censorship”, with giant red markings indicating that you don’t have to be the government to enact censorship.
The thread contained a few common sense replies, especially when the “it’s 2016 and we should know better” strawmanning came into play. Packy34 stated…
“What would you have people do? Would you have the government ban everything that offends you? People know what this game is and are capable of choosing whether or not to consume it. No one should be able to choose for them.”
Ushay urged the topic creator to just ignore it if he didn’t like it and that there’s nothing wrong with satiating a wish fulfillment within a certain niche, writing…
“It’s pretty blatant exploitation of fictional women. Porn in all it’s forms does this, exploits to satiate the appetite of others. It’s fan service, nothing more.
“At the end of the day it’s their property, they can do whatever they want with it. Just ignore if you don’t like it.“
After eight pages of some common sense, the moderator had enough of it and closed the thread.
Anyway, outside of the Imperialist Nation of Neogaf you can look for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to release on March 24th for the PS Vita and PlayStation.
