Legend Levels are part of Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition which launches February 9th 2016. All fans with an existing copy of Dying Light will get a free upgrade containing Legend Levels.
So essentially, after maxing out your main skills you can then start maxing out your abilities with Legendary Levels. This new character upgrade feature opens up 250 new level possibilities to increase your character’s stats. This includes being able to deal more damage or proficiency with certain weapons and items.
Some players may want to get better at throwing knives. That’s totally possible. Some players may want to be expert shovelers. That’s also totally possible. Maybe you want to throw harder punches? Completely doable.
You can also increase your base health and stamina as well, so it’s not just based on the amount of damage output you do but also how well you can scale for non-combat roles, too. Every 25 level upgrades new emblems, outfits and bonuses can also be unlocked.
Lead game designer Maciej Binkowski explained in the press release…
“We listen closely to our community and hear many voices that people who did every single thing in Dying Light want more. Legendary Levels are one of the ways how we’re making the post-game content more meaty” […]
“We’re adding 250 additional levels, so you can keep on developing your character while unlocking new weapons, outfits, emblems, and skills. It means massive replayability.”
Dying Light was already a highly replayable game, so it’s cool to see that Techland is taking that concept and expanding it even further. Dying Light: The Following is scheduled to release on February 9th, 2016 and the Legendary Levels will be part of both The Following and as a free upgrade for the vanilla version of Dying Light. So everybody wins.
