The futuristic racing game Formula Fusion mixes some racing aspects of F-Zero and Wipeout together. The game bridges together both single player and multiplayer modes for players to compete in across different stages. R8 Games is seeking to take futuristic racing to another level with Formula Fusion now that the game has launched on Steam’s Early Access.
The fast-pace racing game that takes players through a bit of Wipeout‘s racing style with a little mixed of F-Zero in there, just entered Early Access on Steam. The devs noted that they expect this game to be on Early Access for about 8 months, giving them time to fix up bugs, work out other features and deliver a proper racing game to their fans.
The futuristic racing game will feature quite a bit, but at the same time keeping things reasonable. It will allow players to compete against other players online or against nine other AIs across eight different tracks. Players will be presented with eight different crafts to race in, and will have various weapons at their disposal during the race.
You can read the full description that the devs posted up, explaining Formula Fusion and some of its mechanics and features…
“Formula Fusion is an anti-gravity racing game which pits your racing pedigree up against the rest of the world. Tackle the single player campaign and become the best pilot against the AI over leagues and championships, or play against the world in multiplayer and compete in a sports league.“
At the moment, the game doesn’t have a dedicated official website detailing anything about the game due to the developers having to build one, but according to the Steam description that the devs posted up, players will have full customization and will be able to partake in different race modes when the official game lands.
