A recent developer diary for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has revealed that the game will indeed contain a New Game+ mode, so that you can beat the game and take your character and play through it again with all your upgraded abilities and skills.
The news comes courtesy of a seven minute video where the developers acknowledge that after being begged for the mode lots of times for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, they finally have the time and resources to implement that feature in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. You can check out the development diary below.

It’s nice to know that inventory management is going to be coming back. In a lot of games micromanaging inventory space usually gets axed to make the game more accommodating to casual players but to me limited inventory space always make you think critically about what’s important to bring on a mission and what’s not. During the Jagged Alliance days – back when it used to get good games – you would have to balance out ammo, med-kits and supplies alongside explosives, weapon and armor. Your mercenaries had weight limits and hydration to consider. It was the same thing with the original X-Com, where limited inventory space meant you had to bring only the necessary items. It really adds to the tension of the gameplay.
Added to this, the developers have confirmed that multiple choices and critical choices will still play a big part in the game and will affect the ending of the game.
I tend to doubt that the ending you receive will play a part in any further sequels, but it’s still cool that some games give you that choice no matter how artificial it is in the long run.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is due for release in early 2016 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. You can keep track of the game and the new developments by paying a visit to the official website.
