Heroes & Generals Has More Than 5 Million Players

Reto-Moto recently announced that they have hit more than 5 million registered players in Heroes & Generals, the hybrid FPS-RTS game where generals plan out the attacks from the strategic map planning phase and heroes take to the air and ground to battle it out using weapons, vehicles and artillery to curb-stomp their opponents into submission.

Over on the official website the press release was issued to celebrate the milestone, with Martin Munk Pollas, CEO at Reto-Moto stating…

“Reaching 5 million players is a huge milestone for us, and we are very grateful for having such a large and engaged community from all parts of the world.” … “We would like to thank all the Heroes and Generals, who makes this player-driven universe come to life and we promise we will continue to work hard adding new content and features to give the ultimate WWII gaming experience to our players.”

The game has been slowly making progress through the development phase, taking some big risks with some features and aiming to fill the void left when Battlefield decided to tackle the modern warfare era.

The press release notes that the game is still one of the top 10 most played free-to-play titles on Steam, and the team is going to continue to pump out content and goods for the player base.

In fact, to celebrate the news that they have achieved 5 million players, Reto-Moto is giving away free gold vouchers for Heroes & Generals over the weekend. It’s a limited time offer and expires on Monday, May 18th next week, so you’ll need to work fast. But here are the instructions on retrieving the vouchers.
