So what happens when a teenage gets a hold of power to reverse time all while a giant, ominous tornado looms in a not-too-distant future threatening to kill everyone? Well, you get Life is Strange, a game that follows a young teenager who happens upon the quantum-shifting power of time manipulation.
The second episode for Life is Strange is gearing up for release on March 24th, and Square Enix dumped a new trailer out for the masses to visually consume like a One Direction album at a 13-year-old girl’s birthday party. Check it out below.
If none of that makes any sense to you at all it’s because you probably didn’t play or watch or learn much about the first episode for Life is Strange. A quick synopsis lays out some of the details of what you can expect from the game, with the press release stating…
“You will also discover new locations as Max will go outside of Blackwell Academy and start exploring new areas in Arcadia Bay. You’ll be able to learn more about the town, its inhabitants, and the social issues it’s facing. On top of this, new and important characters will be introduced, as well as having a lot of difficult choices to make.”
I like the design mechanics of the game and I think the whole Heavy Rain aspect works well for the kind of game that Dontnod Entertainment is building. However, I can’t say I’m much of a fan of the game only because it’s more teen-drama oriented and while the game caters more toward the CW kind of audience, I’m more of an HBO/AMC kind of guy.
Anyway, if you like quick-time adventure games that are heavy on the story, light on the gratuity and remarkably unique, you can look for Life is Strange Episode 2 to drop for home consoles and PC on March 24th. Need more info? Feel free to hit up the official website.
