There are finally some finished walkthroughs of Citizens of Earth that chronicle the game from start to finish. The Earthbound-inspired RPG is a colorful, visually vivid experience with tons of side-quests and a combat system that’s a throwback to the 16-bit era.
Two distinct walkthroughs of the game give you two vastly different experiences and you can watch either one right here.
Citizens of Earth was originally crowd-funded by gamers and eventually picked up for distribution by Atlus for home consoles and PC. The game follows the vice president of the world and his quirky adventures as he recruits unlikely companions and defeats even unlikelier bad guys.
The first walkthrough comes from Walker, a YouTuber with a small following but a no-commentary policy for his series of videos for Citizens of Earth. You can check it out below.
Within just 14 videos Walker manages to beat the game. However, he skips a good deal of the side-quests and avoids a lot of the other nuances of the game’s expansive world, managing to beat it within a few hours.
If you’re interested in something with a bit more flavor, and how to uncover some of the more unique quests and characters, you can check out another walkthrough provided by Jigsaw Let’s Play.
Jigsaw does provide commentary in his videos and the video series is a heck of a lot longer, but it provides a more in-depth gameplay experience, if that’s what you’re looking for.
The game has some truly wacky characters that players can recruit to their time in their attempt to save the Earth. Many of the characters will require completing various side-quests before they will join your team. You get to see a bit more of how that all plays out in Jigsaw’s video series above.
