Another post offering readers a breath of fresh air. Feels good not to talk about a certain other thing for a moment, eh? Well consider this respite, because we’re not done yet with the other thing. Anyway, Ghostlight announced today that the Japanese action-adventure game, Way of the Samurai 4 will be making its way to the west for PC gamers later this year. That’s right, the game will be localized and released on Steam for PC gamers.
Developed by Spike Chunsoft and Acquire, the sometimes weird, sometimes wacky and always entertaining Way of the Samurai has established enough of a cult following the world around that Ghostlight is taking a chance with releasing the game on Steam. Bravo!
Honestly, we really need more games from different cultures brought into the fold. I love playing all sorts of weird and unique titles that come from all over the place; it’s the spice of gaming life.
As mentioned in the press release…
“This announcement represents something of a departure from Ghostlight’s previous JRPG releases and also marks the first big Japanese action game they’ve ever worked on. As with previous releases, Ghostlight will once again be using the team over at Laughing Jackal to port the title to PC.”
I’m sure a lot of you are wondering what exactly Way of the Samurai 4 is all about and why you may (or may not) be interested in playing it.
