The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2: Chapter 1 Lands On Steam Early Access

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2

Nordic Games announced that their latest point-and-click adventure title, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2: Chapter 1 is currently available for purchase on Steam’s Early Access platform. You can grab a copy of the game right now for $29.99. With sharper graphics, a more expanded story and plenty of humor to boot, the game aims to help redefine the adventure game genre with something that seems like it came right out of Sierra Interactive’s classic playbook.

Seeming very similar to The Legend of Kyrandia, Nordic Games and KING Art’s The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 was one of those games I’ve always had my eye on and thought was pretty cool, but never really pursued outside of watching some trailers and marveling at the screenshots.

You can see the game in action with the trailer below.

I’ve got to be honest. It’s impossibly hard for me to write nicely about this game (or any other right now) when have a netted crate full of bull-crap hanging over your head like some kind of sailor on a deck being charged for mutiny. The ridiculousness of it all is that right at this very moment a lot of gamers are fed up, angry and pissed off at the fact that the media that they thought was established to represent them and their interests are now taking a massive excreting all over their audience.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2

It’s hard not to think about games journalism needing to die, and the steps required to make that happen.

For now, games like The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 are going to receive slightly less-than-enthused news post because sadly there are a lot of other things happening in the industry that prevents news like this from seeming (or being) as exciting as they should.

Anyway, you can grab a copy of The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 from Steam right now. If you’re a little leery about a publishing company putting their title in Early Access, then hold off; read some user reviews; check out the forums.
