The Destiny beta test for Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamers will get underway next month… late next month. Bungie is obviously starting to show some love toward the community that originally helped jumpstart their momentum into the stratosphere Halo: Combat Evolved.
Videogamer spotted a hint of when the start-window of the beta test would get underway in a new trailer that Bungie and Activision let loose for their upcoming first-person, sci-fi shooter.
There’s an image captured from the trailer below:
As you can see, it says “late July” as if they’re a little unsure about any specific date in July… you know, sort of like someone who proposes and then says “Well, sure… we can get married at any time. No date in particular. Preferably sometime that isn’t in the winter, but sure… any time is fine. Not the summer, either.”
The beta for Destiny comes quick off the heels of a quick alpha test that Bungie put down for PS4 gamers during the piping hot momentum that the gaming industry acquired during E3. Majority of the impressions from the gaming community happened to be very, very positive.
I’m sure Activision and Bungie are hoping to reacquire that same level of intrigue and enthrallment from the Xbox gaming community once July rolls around. Of course, they’ll also still have PlayStation fanboys fawning over their feet like a dog licking up caviar off the face of a passed out dignitary after scarfing down one too many vodkas.
And just so you know, the beta will get underway for the PS3 and PS4 starting July 17th.
You’ll need to have pre-ordered the game in order to receive a beta key and you also need Xbox Live Gold if you want to participate, just like the Titanfall beta from earlier this year.
You can keep posted on news for Destiny, as well as the beta, by paying a kind visit to the game’s official website. Destiny is due for release on the geriatric twins and the new-gen consoles starting September 9th of this year.
