Westlife: The Love Album / Back Home / Where We Are: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Chorus of a Song

Westlife- The Love Album
United States- This album was not released in the US and no singles were also heard there.

United Kingdom- Westlife released this album with cover songs “The Love Album”. Only one single was released from the album. Check below what it is:
The Rose- #1
Westlife at least reached number 1 with that only single released. It was the Bette Midler original “The Rose”. It became their 15th number 1 single in the country.

Since there’s only one single from the album and in fact, a covers album, I will share the song along with lines from it and check it below:

The Rose
It’s the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It’s the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance

Westlife- Back Home
United States- It seems the guys gave up breaking the American market and this album and no singles were released from it.

United Kingdom- Westlife released two singles from the album and continued to score a string of top 10 hits. Check what those songs were:
Home- #3
Us Against the World- #8
Westlife scored another two top 10 hits this time. It added to their string of top 10 hits which already totalled to 23 including the two songs from the album. “Home”, a Michael Buble original, was the biggest hit at number 3.

The single “Home” peaked at 3rd so it’s the most successful single from the album, but what I am sharing is “Us Against the World” being an original song.

Us Against the World (Chorus)
Cause it’s us against the world
You and me against them all
If you listen to these words
Know that we are standing tall
I don’t ever see the day that
I won’t catch you when you fall
Cause it’s us against the world tonight

Westlife- Where We Are
United States- Westlife didn’t mind releasing the album in America and singles wasn’t released there.

United Kingdom- Westlife released just one single from the album again. Still, it managed to reach the top 10. Check that song below:
What About Now- #2
When the song reached the number 2, Westlife scored their 24th top 10 hit. It is one spot short to number 1, and if it did, it should have been their 16th, but it failed to do so. “What About Now” was first recorded by American band Daughtry.

Since “What About Now” was the onpy single released from the album, I am sharing that song below:

What About Now (Chorus)
What about now? What about today?
What if you’re making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love never went away?
What if it’s lost behind words we could never find?
Baby, before it’s too late, what about now?

Westlife- Turnaround / Face to Face: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Chorus of a Song

Westlife- Turnaround
United States- Westlife’s last album witb Bryn McFadden was not released in America again, thus, failure to score a top 10 hit for the album.

United Kingdom- Westlife came back in this album after their greatest hit album “Unbreakable: The Greatest Hits Volume 1”. Three singles were officially released from the album and check their top 10 hits in United Kingdom:
Hey Whatever- #4
Mandy- #1
Obvious- #3
All the three singles from the album went to the top 10 again. With all the singles released from this album, they accumulated a total of 17 top 10 hits. Number 1 hits stand to total of 13. “Mandy” became the number 1 single off the album.

The biggest hit from the album was “Mandy” which became very popular through Barry Manilow. I chose the number 3 hit “Obvious” to share not just because it is an original song, rather, it is also a great ballad. Check the song below:

Obvious (Chorus)
I’ve made it obvious
Done everything but sing it
(I’ve crushed on you so long, but on and on you get me wrong)
I’m not so good with words
And since you never notice
The way that we belong
I’ll say it in a love song

Westlife- Face to Face
United States- The album had a song which featured an American singer, but it’s not enough for them to score a top 10 hit.

United Kingdom- Westlife released three singles off “Face to Face”. They scored hit songs again from the album and check their top 10 hits:
You Raised Me Up- #1
When You Tell Me That You Love Me (with Diana Ross)- #3
Amazing- #4
Westlife scored their 14th number 1 hit through the Josh Groban original “You Raised Me Up”. With total of top 10 hits in UK, Westlife already had total of 20 through the singles from this album.

The guys’ number 1 single from the album was “You Raised Me Up”. However, I am sharing “Amazing” as it is an original song.

Amazing (Chorus)
And all I’ve been doing is protecting
A lie for the sake of my pride
While all the others set me thinking
we could be more than just amazing

Westlife- World of Our Own / Unbreakable: The Greatest Hits Volume 1: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Chorus of a Song

Westlife- World of Our Own
United States- There’s an effort and plans of releasing “World of Our Own” album but it didn’t succeed. Thus, the guys failed to score another hit.

United Kingdom- Westlife continues to score a string of hits in United Kingdom. Three singles were released for the album and see what songs went to top 10:
Queen of My Heart- #1
World of Our Own- #1
Bop Bop Baby- #5
It is this clear that all the official singles released from the album went to top 10, and even all reached the top 5. They had two number 1 singles from the record, first with the ballad “Queen of My Heart”, secondly, “World of Our Own”. While the pop hit “Bop Bop Baby” at the time was their lowest peaked single at the time. Anyway, it became the group’s 12th top 10 hit in UK.

Since Westlife scored two number 1 hits, I’ll choose from “Queen of My Heart” and “World of Our Own”. I decided to choose “Queen of My Heart” because it is a heartwarming ballad.

Queen of My Heart (Chorus)
I’ll always look back
As I walk away
This memory
Will last for eternity
And all of our tears
Will be lost in the rain
When I’ve found my way
Back to your arms again
But until that day
You know you are
The queen of my heart

Westlife- Unbreakable: The Greatest Hits Volume 1(compilation album)
United States- The compilation album was not released in America. No singles charted too.

United Kingdom- Two official singles were released from the compilation album “Unbreakable: The Greatest Hits Volume “. See what went to top 10:
Unbreakable- #1
Tonight / Miss You Nights- #3
Both singles released from the album went to the top 10 in United Kingdom. It scored the guys a total of 14 top 10 hits already when the two singles charted. “Unbreakable” became the group’s 11th number album which is a big feat. The songs “Tonight” and “Miss You Nights” were combined for a double-sided single.

It is clear that “Unbreakable” was the biggest single from the album after reaching number 1. So I am sharing the song and check below:

Unbreakable (Chorus)
This love is unbreakable
It’s unmistakable
And each time I look in your eyes
I know why
This love is untouchable
I feel that my heart just can’t deny
Each time I look in your eyes
Oh baby, I know why
This love is unbreakable

Westlife- Coast to Coast: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Chorus of a Song

Westlife- Coast to Coast
United States- Westlife did not release this album in United States after lukewarm response of their debut album, so the album had no singles reached the top 10 or even charted at the Hot 100 charts.

United Kingdom- After scoring five number 1 singles in United Kingdom of their self-titled debut album, Westlife remained the top group in the country with their singles. There were four officials singles released in the country. See the top 10 singles from them in the country:
Against All Odds (with Mariah Carey)- #1
My Love-#1
What Makes A Man- #2
Uptown Girl- #1
Westlife had all of their four released singles to the top 10, even better as all reached the top 2 as the three singles went to number 1. The first one which was “Against All Odds” which was re-recorded by Mariah Carey with them and included in “Coast to Coast”. “My Love” became their 7th consecutive number 1 single in the country. Their version of “Uptown Girl” which became part of the re-issue of the album was their 8th chart-topper in total and even became their biggest seller for reaching platinum by BPI. “What Makes a Man” became their first single to fail the top spot but it was a big seller.

“Against All Odds” and “Uptown Girl” were both number 1 hits, but both were not their original hit. “My Love” was an original song from them so I am sharing the song here.

My Love (Chorus)
So I say a little prayer
And hope my dreams will take me there
Where the skies are blue to see you once again, my love.
Over seas from coast to coast
To find the place I love the most
Where the fields are green to see you once again, my love.

Westlife- Westlife: Top 10 Singles in US and UK and Memorable Chorus of a Song

Westlife- Westlife
United States- Westlife also released their album and single in the US. Their first single “Swear it Again” reached the top 20 in the US. However, it is not enough and ten slots lower than the top 10. At least, the guys had a top 10 in the US and not totally unknown. In fact, one of their songs “Flying Without Wings” was covered by Americal Idol winner Reuben Studdard and became a number 2 hit there.

United Kingdom- Westlife has became big superstars im United Kingdom through the singles in their first album. They became record breakers for achieving such success like scoring a total of five top 10 singles from the album. Not just that. To know it, check below:
Swear it Again- #1
If I Let You Go- #1
Flying Without Wings- #1
I Have a Dream / Seasons in the Sun- #1
Fool Again- #1
Based on the chart positions of the songs, all of those songs went to number 1. Likewise, all of those songs were all the singles released from the album. They also set record for scoring five consecutive number 1 hits, which at that time, was recently a record set by the Spice Girls. It also sets record for having five number 1 singles solely in one album. Their record was started by “If I Let You Go”. However, their biggest seller was “I Have a Dream / Seasons in the Sun” as double-side singles after reaching the platinum mark by BPI.

Since all of their songs went to number 1, their biggest hit was the double-side single “I Have a Dream / Seasons in the Sun” so it is the biggest hit. But both songs were remakes, and their first single “Swear it Again” charted both in US and UK. That’s why that’s the song I am sharing. Here’s the chorus of “Swear it Again” and check the music video:

Swear it Again (Chorus)
I’m never gonna say goodbye
Cos I never wanna see you cry
I swore to you my love would remain
And I swear it all over again and I
I’m never gonna treat you bad
Cos I never wanna see you sad
I swore to share your joy and your pain
And I swear it all over again
