Oasis- Don’t Believe the Truth / Dig Out Your Soul: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Oasis- Don’t Believe the Truth
United States- Oasis returned for “Don’t Believe the Truth”. It had released three singles but again, it failed to score a chart hit. The song “Lyla” reaches number 19 at the alternative music charts.

United Kingdom- Oasis again reached the apex with their 3x platinum album “Don’t Believe the Truth”. It released three singles, and see which made to the upper 10 position:
Lyla- #1
The Importance of Being Idle- #1
Let There Be Love- #2
Oasis achieved another success on singles charts for scoring their 7th and 8th number 1 singles with “Lyla” and “The Importance of Being Idle”. “Let There Be Love” became a number 2 hit. It shows that the band achieved a total of three top 2 hits, and not just the top 10.

Oasis- Dig Out Your Soul
United States- “Dig Out Your Soul” was the last album Oasis released. It released three singles again, but no top 10 hit was recorded. However, they had at least a number 12 hit on alternative music charts with ” The Shock of the Lightning”.

United Kingdom- Oasis’ “Dig Out Your Soul” was the last single released, and as usual, it was a top seller there and was awarded 2x platinum by BPI. It had released three singles again, and here’s what made it to top 10:
The Shocked of the Lightning- #3
Falling Down- #10
Oasis’ “Dig Out Your Soul” was their first album not to score a number 1 hit since their debut “Definitely Maybe”. It scored their 22nd and 23rd top 10 singles though with the number 3 hit “The Shock of the Lightning” and number 10 for “Falling Down”.

Oasis had five singles from the albums “Don’t Believe the Truth” and “Falling Down” in United Kingdom. “Lyla” and “The Importance of Being Idle” were number 1 hits in UK off the album “Don’t Believe the Truth”. But I had chosen “Lyla” to share since it is their most notable release during the era of the two albums.

Oasis- Standing on the Shoulder of Giants / Heathen Chemistry: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Oasis- Standing on the Shoulder of Giants
United States- Three singles were released from this album, however, none of them charted at the top 10, as well as the Hot 100. But their song “Go Let it Out” reached number 14 at the alternative charts.

United Kingdom- Oasis never failed to score top 10 hits in United Kingdom. “Standing on Shoulder or Giants” is a hit 2x platinum BPI certified, also scored top 10 singles. They had released three singles and see what went to top 10:
Go Let it Out- #1
Who Feels Love?- #4
Sunday Morning Call- #4
Oasis’ all three singles from “Standing on Shoulder of Giants” made it to the top 10 and top 5. “Go Let it Out”, the carrier singles, made it to number 1, their fifth chart-topping single in the country. “Who Feels Love?” and “Sunday Morning Call”, both made it to number 4.

Oasis- Heathen Chemistry
United States- Oasis’ “Heathen Chemistry” never scored a Hot 100 single, as well as not charting at the alternative music charts.

United Kingdom- Oasis is still a big band in United Kingdom with the hit album “Heathen Chemistry” which went 3x platinum by BPI. The album produced four singles, and here’s what made it to the top 10:
The Hindu Times- #1
Stop Crying Your Heart Out- #2
Little by Little / She is Love- #2
Songbird- #3
It shows that all of the singles from “Heathen Chemistry” managed to reach not just the top 10, likewise, the top 3. “The Hindu Times” became the band’s sixth number 1. “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” as well as the songs “Little by Little” and “She is Love” as double-sided single, both reached the second place. The last single “Songbird” was a number 3 hit.

The song I had chosen to share was “Stop Crying Your Heart Out”. The number 1 single from “Standing on Shoulder of Giants” which was “Go Let it Out” was just certified by BPI  with Silver, as well as the “Heathem Chemistry” chart-topper “The Hindu Times”. “Stop Crying Your Heart Out”, which went to number 2, was a bigger seller with Gold Record status. Lorde- Pure Heroine: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Lorde- Pure Heroine
United States- As her debut album was released, Lorde achieved success in United States as her album “Pure Heroine” had gone triple platinum as awarded by RIAA. It also had a high peak at the top 3. She is the most successful artist from New Zealand to ever grace the United States. She even became a very popular star in the country through this sound of her as a rare kind of artist.  She also achieved similar success with her singles. Check those successful singles as they reached the top 10 below:
Royals- #1
Team- #6
With just her debut single, Lorde got a momentum for reaching number 1 with Royals. It was even very successful for being awarded with 7x platinum. She also achieved success with her upbeat track “Team” when it reached number 6 and was awarded with 4x platinum. Lorde also charted with some of her songs but peaked lower. First was “Tennis Court” at number 71 and followed by “Glory and Gore” with number 68.

United Kingdom- Lorde also had hits in United Kingdom. Aside from a top 5 album with “Pure Heroine” and achieved certification from BPI, she also scored a top 10 hit. Yeah, just one top 10 single.
Royals- #1
Lorde really had gone successful elsewhere with her single “Royals” including United Kingdom when it also went to number 1. She also charted with some of her songs like “Tennis Court” (number 78), “Team” (number 29), and the Brit Awards performancd of “Royals” and “White Noise” at number 72.

Lorde’s biggest hit ever both in United States and United Kingdom was “Royals” which reached number 1 in both countries. Elsewhere, it was also well-received. The song has a great R&B beat and talks about the lifestylez of the rich and famous, particularly celebrities, which she doesn’t want to become. I am sharing thay great song below and groove with its beat, and sing with its melodic tune:

Oasis- Be Here Now: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Oasis- Be Here Now
United States- Oasis was very successful with their previous album, then they released the album “Be Here Now”. It peaked as high as number 2 in the album’s chart and had gone platinum by RIAA. Still, it was their highest peaking album in the country as it reached number 2, while other albums peaked lower. They had released at least three official singles off “Be Here Now”, however, nothing charted inside the top 10. No song even reached the Hot 100. Nevertheless, they had three songs to chart at the alternative countdown. The first one was “D’You Know What I Mean?” at number 4. “All Around the World” was a number 15 hit in that chart, while “Don’t Go Away” at number 5, considered high position.

United Kingdom- Oasis did very well in United Kingdom again with “Be Here Now”. Actually, it was the fastest selling album there. Even the biggest British artist at that time, the Spice Girls, are not able to surpass or defeat their record, which their album was released a week behind Oasis’ “Be Here Now”. Three singles were released from the album as well.
D’You Know What I Mean?- #1
Stand By Me- #2
All Around the World- #1
Oasis, again, scored two number 1 hits with “D’You Know What I Mean?” and “All Around the World”. While the second single “Stand By Me” peaked at number 2. “D’You Know What I Mean?” had great sales when BPI certified it with Platinum. “Don’t Go Away” didn’t chart since it was not released there.

Oasis’ biggest hit in America, based on alternative songs chart, was “D’You Know What I Mean?”. It was also their biggest selling single in United Kingdom for reaching Platinum status and number 1 despite “All Around the World” reached number 1. So check “D’You Know What I Mean?” below, and expect a lengthy song:

Nickelback- All the Right Reasons: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Nickelback- All the Right Reasons
United States- “All the Right Reasons” has been Nickelback’s most successful album. In the US, it has gone multi-platinum and one of the biggest seller the year it was released.  It has surpassed the sales of their breakthrough album “Silver Side Up’ during early 2000s. It released and charted with six official singles. Despite a lot of their songs from the album doing very well, let’s see what songs only hit the top 10 frame:
Photograph- #2
Far Away- #8
Rock Star- #6
Only three of six singles made it to the top 10. It seems “Photograph” which made to number 2 was the biggest hit, however, “Rock Star” was the biggest seller with 4x platinum by RIAA. “Far Away” was a hit too when it reached number 8. They hit the top 20 with “Savin’ Me” at number 19, and “If Everyone Cared” at number 17.

United Kingdom- “All the Right Reasons” was a hit in UK too. It sold hundreds of thousands copies and even received certification from BPI. It was their top seller next to their past album “Silver Side Up”. However, they only had one single to reach the top 10 from four which charted:
Rock Star- #2
Nickelback’s biggest single off “All the Right Reasons” was obviously “Rock Star” for a peak of number 2. “Photograph” peaked at number 18 while “Far Away” at number 40. “Savin’ Me” peaked at the lowest with number 77. Still, the album’s singles can be considered commercially successful.

The choices to share were “Photograph”, for peaking at number two in America, and “Rock Star” for reaching number 2 in UK and 6th in US.  The former only settled at number 18 in UK. But “Rock Star” was the biggest seller both in US and UK. In the Philippines , it is the second most successful next to “Far Away”.  Since I love the story of “Photograph”, I would be sharing that song:

Oasis- (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Oasis- (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?
United States- Oasis achieved higher success in United States through the album “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”. The album had received certification from RIAA with 4x platinum which makes them a topnotch band. Finally, they scored Billboard Hot 100 hits this time. Check which was their first top 10 hit:
Wonderwall- #8
Oasis just scored one top 10 single from the album with “Wonderwall”. Thus, it is safe to assume it was their most successful single from the LP. But they also charted at number 55 with “Don’t Look Back in Anger”. In Alternative charts, they scored four singles to chart and two songs went to number 1. Of course, the other one was “Wonderwall” followed by “Champagne Supernova”.

United Kingdom- Oasis gained more success with the album “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”. It was awarded with 14x platinum due to huge sales. It released four official singles and all those singles went to top 10. Here are those songs:
Some Might Say- #1
Roll With It- #2
Wonderwall- #2
Don’t Look Back in Anger- #1
All of the singles from the album reached the top 2. They had two number 1 singles with “Some Might Say” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger”. Surprisingly, their signature hit “Wonderwall” only settled at number 2, the same chart position of “Roll With It”. Their biggest seller was “Wonderwall” whicb was awarded by BPI with 2x platinum, despite number 2 peak. “Don’t Look Back in Anger” achieved platinum status though.

Oasis’ biggest hit in the US off “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?” was “Wonderwall”, their only top 10 hit there. In UK, “Wonderwall” was their biggest seller despite at a lower position than their two number 1 singles. The song was also the band’s most popular hit song, It was also my favorite song from the band that’s why I would be sharing that track:

Green Day- American Idiot: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Green Day- American Idiot
United States- Green Day came back with a bang through the album “American Idiot’, that aside from being a number 1 album, it sold million, thus became their second biggest selling album ever. Green Day had never reached the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 before until they released this album “American Idiot”. The band had released at least five official singles from the album and see how they made it to the top 10:
Boulevard of Broken Dreams- #2
Wake Me Up When September Ends- #6
Two of Green Day’s five released singles from “American Idiot” album went to top 10. Their song “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” was their biggest hit when it peaked at number 2 and even gone 2x platinum by RIAA. “Wake Me Up When September Ends” which peaked at number 6 was platinum. They had a top 20 hit with “Holiday” at number 19, while the title track at number 61.

United Kingdom- Green Day achieved a new heights in United Kingdom with their album “American Idiot”. It even scored at least three top 10 hits. Look below which songs are those:
American Idiot- #3
Boulevard of Broken Dreams- #5
Wake Me Up When September Ends- #8
Green Day, for the first time, scored three top 10 singles from an album. Their highest peak is obviously “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” at number 3. But their other top 10 singles “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up September Ends” were more notable hits. “Holiday” and “Jesus of Suburbia” had peaked at number 11 and 17, respectively. Thus, they scored five top 20 hits.

Green Day scored more hits from this album “American Idiot”, which they never achieve before. Their biggest hit in the US has been “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” at number 2, while on UK, it was “American Idiot” at number 3. However, I had chosen “Wake Me Up When September Ends” because of its meaning and it was a very remarkable song from them.

Nickelback- The Long Road / Dark Horse: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Nickelback- The Long Road
United States- Nickelback released this album following “Silver Side Up”. The album “The Long Road” released three singles which charted, but see what only reached the top 10.
Someday- #7
Only one single made it to the top 10 with “Someday”. “Figured You Out” and “Feelin’ Way Too Damn Good” charted but only at number 65 and 48, respectively.

United Kingdom- Nickelback continue to break into the UK charts. Two singles charted from the album “The Long Road” and check it below:
Someday- #6
“Someday” was the most successful single from the album too in UK. The single “Feelin’ Way Too Damn Good” only peaked at number 39.

Since “Someday” was the most successful single in both US and UK, it is the only single that is worth sharing. I also love the song and the drama on the music video. However, I feel like it sounds like “How You Remind Me”, but it is still a good song.

Nickelback- Dark Horse
United States- Nickelback’s album “Dark Horse” did well too. Six singles reached the Hot 100 but what single made it to the top 10? Look below:
Gotta Be Somebody- #10
Despite the total of six charted singles, Nickelback only scored one top 10 single. The second biggest single from the album has been “If Today Was Your Last Day” reaching number 19.

United Kingdom- Nickelback failed to score a top 10 hit from “Dark Horse”. But they hit the top 20 with “Gotta Be Somebody”. The song “If Today Was Your Last Day” reached number 64, followed by “I’d Come for You” reaching 67.

“Gotta Be Somebody” reached number 10 in US,  and number 20 in UK. In Asia, it is the solely popular single especially here in the Philippines. No other singles peaked as high as those in both countries, so I would be sharing that song. It is a great song and you will surely like it.

Creed- Weathered: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Creed- Weathered
United States- Creed achieved mainstream success with their album “Human Clay”. They attained that success with their follow-up album “Weathered”. However, the sales of “Human Clay” is higher as it went Diamond platinum in the country after certification from RIAA. Aside from the multiple platinum success of the album, it had success with its singles too. They actually released at least six singles off the record and the list below were those which went to top 10.
My Sacrifice- #4
One Last Breath- #6
Just like “Human Clay”, the album “Weathered” scored two top 10 singles. It started with the first one “My Sacrifice” for reaching number 4, their second biggest hit after the number1 hit from “Human Clay”, “With Arms Wide Open”. It was followed by the number 6 hit single “One Last Breath”. The other four singles failed to make a milestone for not reaching the top 100. Nevertheless, it was still a hit album with hit singles.

United Kingdom- If Creed only scored two singles to chart in UK from their album “Human Clay”, this time, they charted with three singles. However, no releases achieved a top 10 position. The album’s lead single which was “My Sacrifice” was the highest peak for peaking at number 18. It was next to the number 13 hit “With Arms Wide Open”. The second single “Bullets” peaked at number 47, which was also the peak position of the song “One Last Breath”. The other three singles failed to chart as well.

In United States, “My Sacrifice” was the band’s most popular single for reaching number 4. It was the same in United Kingdom for reaching number 18. In the Philippines, it is very popular too alongside “One Last Breath” single. I would be sharing the song as it has a rocking but good melody, though similar, to what they do from their previous record.

Take That- Beautiful World / The Circus: Top 10 Singles in US and UK

Take That- Beautiful World

United States- Take That made a comeback but the album was not released in the country, so no singles ever made it to chart.

United Kingdom- After more than a decade, Take That made a comeback through “Beautiful World”, which even became their biggest selling album in the country ever for achieving multiple platinum status. It released four singles from the album. The top 10 singles from the album were:
Patience- #1
Shine- #1
Rule the World- #2
Three singles went to top 10 from “Beautiful World”. Since there were four singles released from it, they had one single which failed to reach the top 10. “I’d Wait for Life” only peaked at number 17. While “Patience” and “Shine”, were big chart-toppers.

The biggest selling single from the album was “Patience” after going platinum in United Kingdom by BPI. Enjoy the song that I will share below:

Take That- The Circus
United States- The group wasn’t able to release the album in United States again, thus, the incapability to earn another top 10 single for the group.

United Kingdom- Take That released the album “The Circus” to follow their previous comeback album. It was again a big seller, and they released at least four singles and all charted and was their second biggest seller ever. However, not all of the singles from the album reached the top 10. Check which songs made it to that upper 10 position:
Greatest Day- #1
Said It All- #9
Only two single from the four released made it to the top 10. The two single which failed to reach the top 10 were “Up All Night” at number 14, and “The Garden” at number 97. “Greatest Day” was their biggest hit for reaching number 1.

Since “Greatest Day” was their highest peak and their only number 1 single, I will share the song below and hope you will do enjoy it especially Take That fans:
