Music 10 O’s: O-Town to One Direction



1. O-Town
They were the winner of the TV show “Making the Band”. After that, they produced hit singles such as “Liquid Dreams” and “All or Nothing”. But their success was short termed.

2. OutKast
They were one of the best hip-hop duo ever. I love their song “Ms. Jackson” from “Stankonia” album. Their most successful album was “Speakerboxx / The Love Below” and my favorite from the album was “Hey Ya”.

3. Obsessed
This is a song by Mariah Carey from her album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel”. It was her song that was meant to diss Eminem, who first dissed her.

4. Ode to My Family
This is one of my favorite song from the Irish band The Cranberries. It wasn not a happy song, but I love it as it was longing to be with your family, as well as the place or hometown where you had grown up.

5. Oh Mother
This was a song by Christina Aguilera that was for her mother. It was from the album “Back to Basics” which has a classic sound on it.

6. Owl City
I love this one man band who had the hit song “Fireflies”. He achieved success again when he collaborated with Carly Rae Jepsen. It was the song “Good Time” which became his second hit.

7. On the 6
The first album by Jennifer Lopez. It was multiple platinum and produced the hit songs “If You Had My Love” and the club-ready song “Waiting for Tonight”.

It was a dance hit by Aussie singer Kylie Minogue. It follows the comeback hit of her “Spinning Around” which was a hit in 2000.

9. One Call Away
A song by Charlie Puth which followed his hit “Marvin Gaye” with Meghan Trainor. Rapper Chingy had his own song with that title too.

The biggest boyband during the recent years. They were from UK which their popularity was extended worldwide. They were on hiatus now, but before it happened, Zayn left the group and had gone solo.

Since there are a lot of chaos in this “world” we live in, there are a lot of songs written about its current situation. Nevertheless, some songs were written that says how beautiful the world is, while other sense was written about it. Here are some of the songs with “world”:

There are some people who are gorgeous enough to rock our “world”. This comeback hit from Michael Jackson did well in the charts but not as successful as expected for a comeback.

This is such a mad “world” and you want to escape from it. The song from the British band became successful in many countries and even performed by Adam Lambert in American Idol then.

This is just another James Bond song with the same title. The song didn’t perform much in music charts, though had significant success in some countries.
