Take That- Take That & Party: Top 10 Singles in US and UK and Memorable Chorus of a Song

Take That- Take That & Party
United States- Take That never achieved success in United States during the earlier part of their career. At the time, New Kids on the Block is topping American charts, which shortly declined.

United Kingdom- Take That also had success with their singles from “Take That & Party” album. They scored at least a total of three songs to reach the top 10 in United Kingdom. Here are those big songs:
It Only Takes a Minute- #7
A Million Love Songs- #7
Could it Be Magic- #3
Take That actually released 8 singles from “Take That & Party”. However, only three songs charted in the country. Still a success for them for scoring at least three successful singles from it. Their biggest single which is “Could It Be Magic” was original by Barry Manilow, while “It Only Takes a Minute” was original by Tavares.

As mentioned, “Could It Be Magic” was the group’s biggest selling and highest charting single. However, it is a remake single. So the only two choices were between “It Only Takes a Minute” and “A Million Love Songs”. The former was also a remake so the only choice is “A Million Love Songs” since it is an original song. So I am sharing the video and not the chorus of the song, rather the stanza which is the notable part of the song. Check below:

A Million Love Songs (memorable lines)
A million love songs later
And here I am trying to tell you that I care
A million love songs later
And here I am
Looking to the future now
This is what I see
A million chances pass me by
A million chances to hold you
Take me back, take me back
To where I used to be
To hide away from all my truth
Through the light I see

A1- Here We Come: Top 10 Singles in US and UK and Memorable Chorus of a Song

A1- Here We Come
United States- A1 never achieved such success in United States. They failed to break the American market as at that time, Backstreet Boys and NSYNC were reigning the boyband kingdom in the country. Also, their music was different from the other boybands that time which teens may not prefer.

United Kingdom- A1 was very successful in United Kingdom for scoring four singles to settle inside the top ten of singles chart. Competition is high at that time as Westlife has been leading the boyband world in the country that time. Here are the four singles which charted inside the top 10 in UK.
Be the First to Believe- #6
Summertime of Our Lives- #5
Everytime / Ready or Not- #3
Like a Rose- #6
A1 actually released four singles from the album, which means all of their songs reached the top 10. Their highest charting track was the double-sided single, the two tracks “Everytime” and “Ready or Not”. Those songs were contrasting as the other one is a ballad, then a dance track. The first two singles were dance tracks too, while the last one is a ballad.

Since their biggest hit in United Kingdom was the double-sided single “Everytime / Ready or Not”, I have to choose between the two songs to share. I had chosen “Everytime” since I find it a better song, also, it was more successful here in the Philippines too. It was a big radio hit here. Gotta share the song, here’s the chorus of “Everytime” and the video below:

Everytime (Chorus)
Everytime I kiss I feel your lips
And everytime I cry I see your smile
And everytime I close my eyes, I realize
That everytime I hold your hand in mine
The sweetest thing my heart could ever find
And I have never felt this way
Since the day I gave your love away

Westlife- Westlife: Top 10 Singles in US and UK and Memorable Chorus of a Song

Westlife- Westlife
United States- Westlife also released their album and single in the US. Their first single “Swear it Again” reached the top 20 in the US. However, it is not enough and ten slots lower than the top 10. At least, the guys had a top 10 in the US and not totally unknown. In fact, one of their songs “Flying Without Wings” was covered by Americal Idol winner Reuben Studdard and became a number 2 hit there.

United Kingdom- Westlife has became big superstars im United Kingdom through the singles in their first album. They became record breakers for achieving such success like scoring a total of five top 10 singles from the album. Not just that. To know it, check below:
Swear it Again- #1
If I Let You Go- #1
Flying Without Wings- #1
I Have a Dream / Seasons in the Sun- #1
Fool Again- #1
Based on the chart positions of the songs, all of those songs went to number 1. Likewise, all of those songs were all the singles released from the album. They also set record for scoring five consecutive number 1 hits, which at that time, was recently a record set by the Spice Girls. It also sets record for having five number 1 singles solely in one album. Their record was started by “If I Let You Go”. However, their biggest seller was “I Have a Dream / Seasons in the Sun” as double-side singles after reaching the platinum mark by BPI.

Since all of their songs went to number 1, their biggest hit was the double-side single “I Have a Dream / Seasons in the Sun” so it is the biggest hit. But both songs were remakes, and their first single “Swear it Again” charted both in US and UK. That’s why that’s the song I am sharing. Here’s the chorus of “Swear it Again” and check the music video:

Swear it Again (Chorus)
I’m never gonna say goodbye
Cos I never wanna see you cry
I swore to you my love would remain
And I swear it all over again and I
I’m never gonna treat you bad
Cos I never wanna see you sad
I swore to share your joy and your pain
And I swear it all over again

Blue- All Rise: Top 10 Singles in US and UK and Memorable Chorus of a Song

Blue- All Rise
United States- Blue almost tried to break the American market but didn’t push through so the album never had a top 10 single in the country. If they tried, they may had at least hit single/s in the country.

United Kingdom- Blue became one of the top boybands in UK during their time. This debut album of them actually had a total of four top 10 hits from total of four singles released. Those songs were:
All Rise- #4
Too Close- #1
If You Come Back- #1
Fly By II- #6
All of their singles released managed to reach top 10. One of their songs called “Best in Me” was released particularly in Asia so it did not managed to chart in United Kingdom. Two of their songs reached number 1 which happens rarely in some groups. The first one was “Too Close”, an American group Next original and the R&B ballad “If You Come Back”. “All Rise” can still be credited for the guys’s success though as it charted higher in other countries.

Blue’s biggest hits were the two number 1 hits in UK. However, “Too Close” wasn’t their original song, and “If You Come Back” was their original. The ballad was also my favorite song from the album so I picked the song to share and its chorus. Enjoy the video and the chorus of the song below:

If You Come Back (Chorus)
And I swear, If you come back in my life
I’ll be there till the end of time
(Come back to me
Come back to me
Back into my life)
And I swear, I’ll keep you right by my side
‘Cause baby, You’re the one I want
(Come back to me
Come back to me
Back into my life)
Oh yes you are

Boyzone- Said and Done: Top 10 Singles in US and UK and Memorable Chorus of a Song

Boyzone- Said and Done
United States- Despite the release in United States, the singles from the album failed to chart there. Perhaps, Americans are looking for other sound or their tastes differs from the lads’ music. Or maybe, they don’t prefer boybands at that time.

United Kingdom- Boyzone did very well in United Kingdom. “Said and Done” has produced five top 10 hits which is rare before. Those five top 10 hits were the following:
Love Me for a Reason- #2
Key to My Life- #3
So Good- #3
Father and Son- #2
Coming Home Now- #4
All of Boyzone’s singles were five being released in United Kingdom. Apparently, all of those singles reached the top 5. Their highest charting singles peaked at number 2. Clearly, “Love Me for a Reason” and “Father and Son” were number 2 hits. But with regards to sales total, “Father and Son” was their biggest seller when it reached platinum as certified by BPI. Actually, all of their songs from the album got certified by BPI which makes them the top boyband at that time in United Kingdom next to Take That.

The guys’ highest charters were the number 2 hits in UK, “Love Me for a Reason” and “Father and Son”. However, both songs were remake versions. So the song I decided to share was “Key to My Life” which was a number 3 hit in United Kingdom. Also, it is the most lyrical song among the remaining hits compared to “So Good” which was also a number 3 hit. Here’s the chorus and watch the video:

Key to My Life (Chorus)
All of my life the doors have been closed now
And all of my dreams have been locked up inside
But you came along and captured my heart, girl
You’re the key to my life
Yeah

B*Witched- B*Witched: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Chorus of a Song

B*Witched- B*Witched
United States- It was that time when Spice Girls is on hiatus and All Saints success with “Never, Ever” was over in the US when B*Witched tried out in America. The girls from Ireland released two singles in the country from their self-titled album which went platinum.
C’est La Vie- #9
B*Witched scored one top 10 hit in the US. “C’est La Vie” is just one of two singles they released in the country. Their second single “Rollercoaster” peaked at number 67. Anyway, “C’est La Vie” has gone Gold Record by RIAA.

United Kingdom- B*Witched seemed to follow the success of fellow girl groups Spice Girls and All Saints after scoring hit song from their self-titled album. The girls had released a total of four singles for the album.
C’est La Vie- #1
Rollercoaster- #1
To You I Belong- #1
Blame it On the Weatherman- #1
B*Witched’s all four singles went number 1. Before them, the Spice Girls’ Spice also scored four number 1 singles and all of them were consecutive chart-toppers. It was such a success for an artist that scoring all songs from an album goes to number 1. Their single “C’est La Vie” was their considered biggest hit for reaching platinum mark by BPI.

B*Witched’s “C’est La Vie” has been their highest charting in the US, and their biggest seller in UK. So that song was chosen to share. The song was admitted by the girls that it has sexual theme despite the youthful nature of its sound and music video. Check the song’s chorus below and the music video:

C’est La Vie (Chorus)
Say you will say you won’t
Say you’ll do what I don’t
Say you’re true, say to me c’est la vie
Say you will say you won’t
Say you’ll do what I don’t
Say you’re true, say to me c’est la vie

All Saints- All Saints: Top 10 Singles in US and UK and Memorable Chorus of a Song

All Saints- All Saints
United States- All Saints at least achieved some success in the US. Aside from a platinum debut album “All Saints”, the girls scored one top 10 hit in the country. Here’s that single which reached the top 10 on Billboard Hot 100:
Never Ever- #4
It is pretty obvious that they only scored one top 10 hit from the album. The song was even awarded with Gold Record by RIAA for reaching a threshold of sales. The girls scored another song to chart in the country which was “I Know Where It’s At” peaking at number 36.

United Kingdom- All Saints became superstars in their country, United Kingdom. Despite the popularity of Spice Girls then, they still built a name of their own and became one of the top girl bands there at the time. Their album had released five singles from the album and see which went to top 10.
I Know Where It’s At- #4
Never, Ever- #1
Under the Bridge / Lady Marmalade- #1
Bootie Call- #1
War of Nerves- #7
Since there were five singles released from the album and as shown, all of the singles released from the album went to top 10. Three singles even went to number 1. Their biggest hit has been “Never Ever” which even sold more than a million in the country.

In both countries, only “Never Ever”was the standout as it is the only single charted in US which only charted in UK. It is considered their biggest single ever. The song is just a sad song which is about coping the pain after a heartbreak. Now, enjoy the chorus lyrics and the music video below:

Never Ever (Chorus)
Never ever have I ever felt so low
When you gonna take me out of this black hole?
Never ever have I ever felt so sad
The way I’m feeling yeah, you got me feeling really bad
Never ever have I had to find
I’ve had to dig away to find my own peace of mind
I’ve Never ever had my conscience to fight
The way I’m feeling, yeah, I just don’t feel right

NSYNC- NSYNC: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Chorus of a Song

NSYNC-NSYNC
United States- NSYNC had great success in US with “NSYNC” album after releasing at least 4 singles in the country. But only three singles made it to the chart. However, the album only had 1 top 10 hit:
(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time on You- #8
The song became their only top 10 hit from the album reaching #8. Three singles charted with their first single “I Want You Back” which peaked at number 13. It had a Gold Record certifications by RIAA. “Tearing Up My Heart” only peaked at number 59 but it did well at the mainstream charts in top 10.

United Kingdom- NSYNC achieved success with their singles in UK earlier. They had achieved at least two top 10 songs in the country.
I Want You Back- #5
Tearing Up My Heart- #9
It is pretty obvious that the group scored at least two top 10 singles in the country. Their other singles failed to chart, and just returned to the singles chart with “Music of My Heart” which is a soundtrack single with Gloria Estefan, which peaked at number 34.

NSYNC’s most successful song was “I Want you Back” from the album. However, “(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time on You” was an emotional and heart-warming song that’s why it is my top pick. It is because it is written for mothers. I even wrote about songs about mothers and included this song. Here’s the beautiful chorus of the song and its music video:

(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time on You (Chorus)
Your love is like a river
Peaceful and deep (and deep)
Your soul is like a secret
That I never could keep
When I look into your eyes
I know that it’s true
God must have spent…
A little more time
On you…
