After successfully making it to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, Susan Boyle quickly had a record deal and her debut album was released on late 2009. The album immediately went to the top of charts worldwide and was the biggest selling album worldwide in 2009 despite just one month of release. Despite the stelar sales, no singles released made an impact in the charts.
U2 – No Line On The Horizon
U2 often have hit albums which included this records which went to number one worldwide. Despite the success of the records, it is lower than the band’s previous albums and none of its singles became huge.
Kings Of Leon – Only By The Night
This record by Kings of Leon was their most successful album ever. It managed to score multiplatinum status worldwide, but it only managed two hit singles.
Michael Bublé – Crazy Love
Michael Buble is used to selling millions of albums worldwide. “Crazy Love” achieved mulitplatinum success worldwide, a feat Michael Buble always do. Any hit singles? “Haven’t Met You Yet” scored a good chart position, but the only single to achieve success.
Susan Boyle – The Gift
After the highly successful “I Dreamed a Dream” album, Susan Boyle immediately released her second album which again went to the top of the charts. The album is considered a holiday album, but with no hit singles.
Sadé – Soldier Of Love
After about ten years since the release of their successful previous album “Lover’s Rock”, Sade came back on top of the charts again with “Soldier of Love”. With the record’s success, it didn’t score a hit single.
Alicia Keys – The Element Of Freedom
This album by Alicia Keys became huge internationally. But in US, it was her first album which failed to top the Billboard 200. It is still successful with its sales but it never scored a top 10 hit in the US.
