Alanis Morissette- Jagged Little Pill: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Lines of a Song

Alanis Morissette- Jagged Little Pill
United States- Alanis Morissette became a huge newcomer for hitting it big with her first international album “Jagged Litte Pill” which was certified 16x platinum by RIAA. it also produced a lot of hit songs and scored these top 10 hits:
You Oughta Know- #6
Ironic- #4
You Learn- #6
Alanis Morissette at least generated three top 10 hit singles from “Jagged Little Pill”. It started out with the iconic rock hit “You Oughta Know” for reaching number 6. While the single “Ironic” was her biggest hit at number #4, and succeeded by “You Learn” at number 6. She had other singles released but they were released as airplay singles and did very well in those charts.

United Kingdom- Alanis Morissette had scored a momentum from her album “Jagged Little Pill” in United Kingdom as well. It was even certified with enormous 10x platinum by RIAA. Six singles managed to chart but only few became a top 10 hit.
Head Ovet Feet- #7
It does show that Alanis Morissette only had one single to reach the top 10. That song was the fifth release “Head Over Feet” at number 7. Her second biggest hit from the album was “Ironic” at number 11. Her singles placement in the charts were “You Oughta Know” at number 22, “Hand in My Pocket” at number 26, “You Learn” at number 24, and the last single “All I Really Want” at number 59.

“Ironic” turned to be Alanis Morissette’s biggest hit from “Jagged Little Pill” in United States, though the second big hit in United Kingdom. However, I would be sharing the song “You Oughta Know” because of its iconic lyrics. It is one of the most notable break-up songs which can be in the category alongside other artists like Adele, Taylor Swift, etc. Check the angst in the song below with its chorus:

You Oughta Know
And I’m here to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It’s not fair to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
You, you, you oughta know
