United States- Lady Gaga garnered three albums which reached number 1. Her debut “The Fame” may had only peaked at number 2 but at least became her biggest selling album with 4x platinum according to RIAA. Her number one album started with “Born This Way” which was a million seller on its first weak. “Artpop” followed which was eventually a platinum seller, and the last was the collab with jazz singer “Tony Bennett”.
United Kingdom- Lady Gaga had three number 1 albums in UK too. “The Fame” did very well which became her first number 1 album, which was BPI certified 9x platinum. Her sophomore effort “Born This Way” did well when it debuted at number 1. Her last album to reach number 1 was “Artpop”.
United States- Adele has been a huge superstar in the United States. Her debut “19” peaked lower initially but has been able to catch after her second album’s success. It peaked at number 4 which already went 3x platinum. Her second effort “21” did very well when it topped the charts for many weeks. Now, the album was already certified 11x platinum. Her current album debuted at number 1 and was the fastest selling album ever when it sold more than 3.3 million. Currently, the album exceeded 8x platinum status by RIAA.
United Kingdom- Adele is the top artist in UK during the last 10 years. The total of three albums she released went to number 1. Her first album “19” eventually reached 7x platinum by BPI. It was followed by the highly popular “21” which reached 16x platinum. Her new album “25” was currently 9x platinum.
United States- Katy Perry had her two albums to success after reaching number 1. While her debut “One of the Boys” went to number 9, it still went platinum Her two number 1 albums were “Teenage Dream” (RIAA 3x platinum certified) and the last one with “Prism”.
United Kingdom- Katy Perry’s albums “Teenage Dream” and “Prism” both went to number 1. “Teenage Dream”, though, was her biggest seller when it reached 4x platinum by BPI
