Nelly Furtado- Whoa Nelly: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Chorus of a Song

Nelly Furtado- Whoa Nelly
United States- Nelly Furtado released her debut album in United States called “Whoa Nelly”, which awarded her 2x platinum by RIAA. It also had hit singles on Billboard Hot 100. Here what really made it at the top 10:
I’m Like a Bird- #9
Turn Off the Lights- #4
Nelly Furtado actually had three singles released but two went to the top 10. It started out with her debut single “I’m Like a Bird” at number 9, followed by the more successful single “Turn Off the Lights” for peaking at number 4.

United Kingdom- Nelly Furtado was very successful in United Kingdom as well with “Whoa Nelly”, the record which she received 2x platinum by BPI. It released three singles, but not all went to the top 10. Check which made it below:
I’m Like a Bird- #5
Turn Off the Lights- #4
Nelly Furtado scored two singles to access the top 10 slot. “I’m Like a Bird” is a great hit when it peaked at number 5. Just like in America, “Turn Off the Lights” peaked higher in United Kingdom too at number 4. The single which failed to reach the top 10 was “…On the Radio (Remember the Days)” which reached number 18.

Nelly Furtado’s highest charting song from the album “Whoa Nelly” was “Turn Off the Lights”. However, “I’m Like a Bird” became more widely known. Still, I am sharing the song “Turn Off the Lights” because of its cooler sound. Enjoy that cool song below:

Turn Off the Lights (Chorus)
They say that girl ya know she act too tough tough tough
Well it’s till’ I turn off the light, turn off the light
They say that girl you know she act so rough rough rough
Well it’s till’ I turn off the light, turn off the light
And I say follow me follow me follow me down down down down
till’ you see all my dreams
Not everything in this magical world is quite what it seems

Atomic Kitten- Feels So Good: Top 10 Singles in US and UK / Memorable Chorus of a Song

Atomic Kitten- Feels So Good
United States- Atomic Kitten also attempted to release the album “Feels So Good” in United States. One single was released but failed to chart. Though, it was used on a teenage TV show in the country.

United Kingdom- Atomic Kitten released this second album which again scored hits in United Kingdom. Four singles were released from “Feels So Good” which all charted. Check below which made it to the top 10:
It’s OK-#3
The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling)- #1
The Last Goodbye / Be With You- #2
Love Doesn’t Have to Hurt-#4
Atomic Kitten had all those four songs to reach the top 10 and top 5. Their biggest hit from “Feels So Good” was “The Tide os High (Get the Feeling)” which was a cover version. Two songs such as “The Last Goodbye” and “Be With You” were released in once CD or what we call double-sided single has became a number 2 hit. “It’s OK” was the first single which peaked at number 3. The girls already had 9 top 10 hits and thre number 1 hits after the last single from the album was released, making them one of the biggest UK girl group.

The ladies’ biggest hit song from “Feels So Good” has been their own version was “The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling)”. But I would be sharing the song from the double-sided single which is “The Last Goodbye” because of its simple tune. See and enjoy the song below:

The Last Goodbye (Chorus)
Ain’t no headlights on the road tonight
Ain’t nobody here to make it right
Cos we couldn’t seem to find a way, for love to stay
If you had another night to give
I would have another night to live
But you’re never gonna see me cry the last goodbye
