Album’s Singles Review: “Take Me Home” by One Direction

Take Me Home (album)
After the huge success of “Up All Night”, One Direction released their second album “Take Me Home” which performed well like the first album. It contained almost the same sound as songs were pop-rock and teen-pop. It has lots of love songs which many young female fans love. The album debuted at number 1 worldwide and became a fast seller for the group. It has beem certified 3x platinum in the UK and 2x platinum in United States.

Live While We’re Young
“Live While We’re Young” was the first single from “Take Me Home” by One Direction. The song sounds like the part 2 of “What Makes You Beautiful”, though the latter mentioned song was better from melody to lyrics. This song actually has somewhat sexual undertone. It became a hit  reaching the top 10 in many countries worldwide, which in United States and UK, it reached number 3.

“Little Things” is a good song to be the second single for “Take Me Home”. It is a ballad which was notable for being re-written by Ed Sheeran. It is a love song many young girls fell in love with. It reached number in United Kingdom and top 40 in US.

“Kiss You” became the third single “Take Me Home” album. The upbeat song was somewhat catchy and its music video shows the guys copying old music videos. The song charted worldwide, and in United Kingdom, it became their 6th top 10 hit when it peaked at number 9. It reached the top 50 in the US.

One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)
“One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)” wasn’t actually a part of “Take Me Home” but was released after “Kiss You” from the album. It was a mash-up of Blondie’s popular hit “One Way or Another” and the old song by The Undertones called “Teenage Kicks”. The song was a hit when it reached the top 10 in many countries. It reached number 1 in United Kingdom, and number 13 in the US.
