All Saints took quite awhile to release their second album, which was released about 3 years after their debut album’s release. There are changes of sound in the album from their debut. “Saints and Sinners” has lots of electronic music which was similar to Madonna’s sound in her “Ray of Light” album. The album became the girls’ only number 1 album in United Kingdom and has gone 2x platinum by BPI.
“Pure Shores” is actually used for the movie “The Beach” which starred the talented Leonardo DiCaprio. It was eventually included for their album “Saints and Sinners”. The song is an electronic pop track which is a change for the group’s sound. It was the most successful single for the album as it reached top 10 in several countries and a number 1 position in UK.
