Album’s Singles Review: “Unison” by Celine Dion

“Unison” is the first English album by Canadian singer Celine Dion. Celine already had a  number of albums released prior but were recorded in French. She already sold millions of albums before this album was released. “Unison” is a pop album which contains ballads and some dance-able tunes. But it is more on ballad as Celine was known as a balladeer. “Unison” had peaked below the top 50 in Billboard 200,  but did quite well in other countries.

(If There Was) Any Other Way
“(If There Was) Any Other Way” was the first international single from “Unison”. It is a pop song and was remixed to more danceable sound. It was a top 35 hit in the US then.

Unison
“Unison” was the second single released from the album. It has been a hit in her own country, Canada. It was a danceable pop song.

Where Does My Heart Beat Now
“Where Does My Heart Beat Now” is the third release from “Unison”, however, it was her first real hit in United States. It was also her first single to chart worldwide. The ballad was just beautiful as it is incorporated with rock which can be compared to the band, Heart. The ballad became Celine Dion’s first US top 10 hit too when it reached number 4.

The Last to Know
“The Last to Know” is the fourth single of “Unison”. The pop song was just her cover originally sung by fellow female singer, Sheena Easton. Her version was good , and for me, it was better than Sheena Easton’s version. The song did not chart in some countries, but did well in Canada.
Rate: 8.0 out of 10

Have a Heart
“Have a Heart” was just released as a promotional song. It is a pop rock song which showed another side of Celine. The song failed to chart in some countries.
