When it comes to soul mates, there are so many theories that no one really agrees on. In fact, there are some that say soul mates aren’t even a real thing.
For instance, some may say that love takes work. With all the people in the world, you’re compatible with more than one. Statistically speaking, they have to be right. I mean, surely you aren’t only meant for a single person. The chances would be so slim of actually being born at the same time, destined to be in a single place in a moment that would connect your life paths for the rest of your days.
But, then again, you never know.
One theory, which I find completely interesting, is the idea that your soul mate is made up of atoms that were close the the atoms that you’re comprised of during the time when the world was first created. As such, your atoms and their atoms keep trying to get back close together. It’s such an interesting idea. I especially like it because it fits with my belief in reincarnation. I don’t think we just get one go around, and I think you stick with your soulmate in all your lives. That’s why you keep being attracted to each other.
I most definitely believe that my husband is my soul mate. We even joke that, in our past life, he was the woman and I was the man. That’s mostly because he likes shopping and dressing nicely, and I’m a homebody that would spend my days in yoga pants and a t-shirt if I could. It’s just one of our silly inside jokes.
He’s the best friend I ever could have asked for. He challenges me, he loves me unconditionally, and he is the one person I want to talk to at the end of every day. I’m not saying that our relationship is, by any means, wonderful. We have our hard times. But I’d choose him again and again. He’s the person that makes me happy, and I’m so grateful to get to spend the rest of my life with him.
