I have to say, I’m super impressed with the quality of writing that’s happening here on BlogJob.
When I first started writing for this site, I feel like so many writers were just putting anything into a post. Literally, I could read someone’s grocery list or random thoughts that made no sense and had no organization.
But, as I scroll through the “Activity” page, I’m struck by just how many writers on here are really stepping up their game! I mean, just in the first five posts I scrolled past, I saw one that totally drew me in. It was on the idea that husbands are selfish, and it was really inspired. It made me think, “Hmm… maybe I’m not the only one who feels unappreciated in her role as a wife and mom.” So, thank you, writer. You totally made my day.
It definitely makes me want to start posting things that make more sense and are really entertaining. I have more than just this site – one site is a list site (where I write articles like, “Top 10 Ways to Get Organized,”) and I have a recipe site for high-altitude bakers. Those articles definitely take a lot more preparation and editing than the ones I post on my personal blog, but I feel like I definitely need to meet the raised bar so I’m not a “bottom feeder” among my peers.
I’m competitive like that. 🙂
However, at this moment, I am simply aiming to vent. It’s about that time in my day where I need to get into gear to get everything done, and I don’t want to do it. I still need to grade some papers, respond to some emails, fuss with my tax stuff, clean up, and make dinner. That’s just plain a lot of work to get done in a really short amount of time.
So… no more procrastinating! To work!
