For some awful reason, my doctor’s office decided to schedule me for an 8am appointment. And, as anyone with a toddler knows, getting ready and out of the house on time that early can be a real challenge.
Then, because I was going to drop my husband off at work, we had to leave even earlier! I was up at 6, and we were out of the house by 7, which has to be some sort of record.
He works at the hospital, as well, so he just went to his office when we got there. I went to the cafeteria with my little one to kill some time and to grab some breakfast. I had the worst bagel I’ve ever had in my life, and, to top it all off, I accidentally grabbed strawberry cream cheese instead of plain. It was a pretty sad breakfast. My daughter had some cereal, and then we left.
I went to my husband’s office first because he was going to come with us to the appointment. He had to wait for his backup to get to the office, but we made it to my appointment just in time. I was excited because I got to meet my midwife for the first time, and she was such a nice person. She was cheerful, and she seemed genuinely concerned about me. I think I’m going to love her. She’s amazing.
After the appointment, we left and went by the post office, which was a nightmare in itself. But, $60 in shipping later, all of our Christmas presents are on their way. I also ran by Walmart because my daughter needed a new pair of shoes. Her current pair are just getting too tight for her little feet. It’s so crazy how quickly kids grow!
I’m home now, and I just finished wrapped the last of the presents. I’m going to keep writing until it’s time to pick up my husband… or until my nausea gets to be too much. Whichever comes first.
Happy Friday, all!
