Celebrity Crushes

Let’s be honest. We all have those celebrities that we are really attracted to. Maybe you saw them in an interview, and you loved how funny they could be. Maybe you admire their fashion sense, or you like the way they participate in charities. Or maybe you just really love the character they play. No matter what the reason, we all have these crushes.

While it’s a bit embarrassing, I’m more than willing to admit which celebs have caught my eye. 🙂

  • Hugh Jackman – I love him as Wolverine, and he is so gorgeous when he smiles. He has the bad boy thing going on, and the fact that he’s older makes him more attractive because he’s more mature and experienced. I’d love to meet him one day.
  • Johnny Depp – Okay… so he’s a bit odd. And his role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a bit off-putting (even though I really enjoyed the film. I just didn’t dig the costume). But, watching him as a pirate is amazing. And I loved him when he played that really troubled writer. Even his Sweeney Todd costume left me a little weak in the knees. I’ve had a crush on him since I was a teenager, so I doubt that will ever go away.
  • Milo Ventimiglia – He played Jess on Gilmore Girls, and he had the lead role in Heros. I love his cute smile, and he always seems to have this relaxed way about him. So gorgeous!
  • Norman Reedus – He’s known for his role as Daryl on The Walking Dead. He is the only guy I know that can pull of the grunge look, and he looks even better in a suit. I would love to meet him in person… he just seems so laid back, and I bet he has a great personality.

So maybe I’m a goober for having crushes on people I’ll probably never meet. Whatever. I don’t care. A girl can dream, right?

I don’t blame you at all for having celebrity crushes. I used to have a few myself. I developed crushes on band members right until I actually followed them on Twitter or their band website and learned they were a) world-class jerks and/or b) they were married. I’ve learned that if I don’t want my “This person is awesome!” illusions shattered, I should avoid reading anything by them or about them. Of course, right now I’m so over celebrities, but I’m sure one of these days I’ll find someone that makes me think “Hmmmmm, interesting.”
