I like looking in thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets for “junk” to turn into something cool. Of course, I don’t really see it as junk, but the people getting rid of the stuff often do. I see these places as a gold mine for new projects.
Exactly. You look at everything in a different way now, deciding how you can use things in different ways. I think it’s fun as well as creative.
Yep, you can save a lot of money too, which is always a good thing.
I like going to Thrift Stores too. About 6 years ago, things were very decently priced, and those stores hit the news a few times, and suddenly the price jacked up, some even more than at other stores. You just need to be a smart shopper!
That’s very true. With lots more people into upcycling and such, the prices have definitely gone up.
I still find quite a few treasures though. We have different shops here. Some have nice prieces and some are always higher.
