Great review! A few things have changed recently, though, so you might want to check the “Earn Rewards” page again to find out how that impacts on your activity here….

I hope one day you’ll get your cookbooks published, Andria. As I mentioned before, I can totally see a mix of recipes and anecdotes. I think it would sell like nobody’s business. Your narrative writing really pulls the reader in 🙂

Not to worry, Treathyl, words are a renewable resource. There are plenty more where those came from 😉

“All Rights Reserved” on a social blogging site tells you absolutely nothing about how the site treats user-generated content. It’s simply a notice that warns the reader, who may or may not contribute content, to respect the copyrights of the site and its contributors.
The important part of the TOS, in terms of who owns and controls your posts,…[Read more]

I haven’t had any issues with commenting – at least not today. But I did try to use the contact form, only to be told that my message was spam.

It’s nice to see such a fair and balanced review of the three sites, Treathyl. Thank you for that!
I was going to point out that we still own rights to our content on LiteracyBase once we post there, and that it’s just a cumbersome process to ask for posts to be edited or deleted. But when I went to take a quote from the terms on LB to support…[Read more]

It’s been a long summer, but suddenly it seems it has passed in the blink of an eye! My two oldest daughters are coming home this week. It’s just “two more sleeps” until the oldest arrives home from her summer job halfway across the country….

It sounds like you’re making a good bit of progress, Andria. Just being able to to analyze your habits so concretely is something few people could do. Good on you!

Just popping in briefly. Life is busy, but I did manage to crochet a bit today!
-
I have not crochet in awhile
-
I need to learn how to crochet so bad
-
It’s nice to take a break and work on other activities. I’ve been needle felting lately. I don’t want to do too much. I tend to get burned out quickly. I’m back to writing today. @ruby3881

I don’t often crochet, but I usually knit while I’m watching television.
-
It’s been a long time since I have crochet anything. I wonder if I still remember how?

Good to see you all. I too have been snowed under with work, so it’s nice to swing by and check in 🙂

Good to see you

I get so excited reading these progress reports! I almost feel as if I’m right there with you! I can see you’re working really hard toward achieving this goal, and I do believe you’ll get there one day not too long away 🙂

My mother taught us the glass trick with sugar cookies, except it was a damp-bottomed glass dipped in sugar that “stamped” the sugar onto the surface of the cookie.

I tend to agree with @dawnwriter that restructuring the reward program would be better than an indeterminate suspension with no news. The site will die without activity, and I think it’s clear that what motivates activity is earning the rewards.
There are several options that might stimulate activity on the site again:
1) Restructure the points…[Read more]

@barbrad Aw, I’m disappointed to hear that! I was hoping it would as I’m wanting to get back into using HootSuite and you’re really making me think I need to check out Buffer 🙂
