  • Still looking around, getting familiar with the site. However, I must say, I am quite impressed with how easy it is to use.

  • It is the beginning of June and with that, many fantasy baseball players have been looking at their rosters wondering what has gone right and what has gone wrong. There are three players that have come up in recent weeks that should have a huge impact on what happens the rest of the way in the fantasy season. There is George Springer and Jon Singleton of the Houston Astros along with Oscar Taveras from the St. Louis Cardinals. These three players are going to decide a lot of championships this season. The question is which one will have the biggest impact.

Springer has already done a ton of damage after a slow start. If he is still available on the waiver wire, it would be smart to go pick him up as soon as possible. There is no time to wait on that one. Singleton and Taveras just came up in the last week. Singleton is showing his potential while Taveras homered in his first big league at-bat. The player that owners are going to want however is Springer.

There is something too much to love about him with the combination of speed and power. If he can finish the season with 30 home runs considering he didn’t start the year in Houston, it will be an accomplishment worth noting. Singleton and Springer are both going to be major parts of what the Astros do in the next few seasons and each of them must be drafted in 2015 leagues but for this season, Springer is the one that owners should be trying to jump all over. Taveras may not last at the big league level strictly because of the injury situation in St. Louis with Matt Adams. When he returns, Taveras will likely be heading straight back to the minor leagues but must be kept on a fantasy roster if there is room to do it.

The fantasy baseball regular season is about half over and the time has come to make the big moves to get into the playoff chase. That could mean trading for some high-profile players who haven’t been too successful so far but the biggest pick should be any attempt to trade for Springer, who is on his way to being a fantasy superstar even before the 2014 season comes to an end.

Good morning everyone. Due to lack of rain fall last night, the water in the yard is starting to go away. I can see the porch now! Lol. But, we are still supposed to get more rain so we will just have to wait and see.

Good morning everyone. Yard outside is still flooded (it must have rained some more during the night because the water level hasn’t changed) but the house is up off the ground so no damage to it. 🙂

  • Stephen King’s “On Writing” is one of my favorites, and not just because I’m a lifelong King reader and fan. He gives great tips and ideas in a very conversational tone. He’s practical and down-to-earth, and I love that style.

  • I tend to have too many interests at any given time, and I like to write about any of them. I started out with a movie blog, because I’m a lifelong movie fan, but I have ideas for at least two more blogs.

Even if I know quite a bit about a given subject, I still find myself researching–even if it’s just to confirm what I’m pretty sure I know already!

  • Having Stress is common among most Adults these days. Some of the Causes of Stress are due to Workload, job security, Money and Time.

Studies also show that 85% of the stuff that we worry about actually never happens, and an additional 80% of us say that when the worst does happen, we handle it better than we thought we would. So stop the Stressing, go out and enjoy the Fresh air, talk to a friend, listen to music, have a good laugh. For meatless meal Ideas, try looking on Pinterest. I’m an Eggplant lover myself.. It can be fried in a pan or baked in the oven.. I like it with tomato sauce..but you can also use soy sauce for an Asian-isnpired dish. (this would be made in the pan with some other veggies..) Man that sounds good… I’m gonna have to make it!

      • Thanks; I’ll check it out! I’m not a huge eggplant lover, but, then again, I haven’t tried cooking it many ways. I think I’m going to try frying it.
