So far so good. Let’s hope that’s a trend for the day.

  • Honestly, I’m more scared of the people that worry about what goes on in a bathroom stall than a person who wants to do their business and just happens to be transgender. I fear that the judgmental “bathroom police” will start condemning anyone who uses the bathroom wrong! In any case, I like Target. This isn’t going to stop me from shopping there.

    40. You add the answer of the previous puzzle to the current eqution. Here it would be 21+8+11=40.

Even though it was “explained” in a forum post, I think it needs a much better justification. I still plan to blog when I have something to say, but these new “improvements” are not good for my morale/enthusiasm.

I’m still trying to get accepted into graduate school, so everything related to college is on-hold. I do have a two week job starting next week, though, so that’s some good news.

@talberts, I would miss everyone who leaves so much as well, but maybe that’s what it would take to get a more blogger-friendly but spam-proof BlogJob. Right now I feel considerably less enthusiastic about posting and promoting content myself, and that could backfire on BlogJob if others cut back on posting and promoting. I don’t *want* BlogJob…[Read more]

  • I think, since other posters have mentioned how much harder it is to use the New BlogJob and will be looking at other ways to make money, it will hurt BlogJob rather than help it. If other websites are more enjoyable and less time-consuming, why *wouldn’t* we turn to them first? While the changes will cut back on spammers, it runs the risk of…[Read more]

I sympathize with you, especially since I know how active you were at one point. I’m still here, but not as often and not as enthusiastically as when I started. I know that BlogJob wants legitimacy and is using these changes to stop the spammers, but I worry that it’s going to discourage those of us who already do things honestly and feel…[Read more]

  • We don’t have titles like these and honestly that’s a good thing. I know it would have the opposite effect of morale-boosting on me and likely others who are good writers but have chosen less popular niches.

I’m thinking that I will try to get acceptance into the Master’s in Higher Education Administration program. It’s another application with another $60 fee but I would like to work with college students in some capacity and it’s always sounded like fun. If that falls through, maybe I’ll be accepted into secondary education for teacher…[Read more]

  • I have a question about getting membership yanked. I’ve been on BlogJob for a year or so but there would be periods of time I wouldn’t write anything because of other requirements or because I didn’t want to post garbage. Could a longtime user face membership revokal or is that limited to our newcomers?

So BuzzFeed is shaming middle school and high school students for questions about sex and reproduction. You know, some of the questions were really good. Even the ones that seemed like joking questions were worth answering. What if these kids don’t get “The Talk” at home and really want to know the answer? I think BuzzFeed is getting…[Read more]

Sorry about your pile of misfortune. Here’s hoping tomorrow will be better for you!

    • @jessica…thanks for your sweet sentiment, dear jessica. I hope so too 🙂

I have the same thought, but I know why we can’t see things that specifically. By us not knowing, we can’t retaliate against the person who deleted their post and our point(s).

I am torn about waiting to see if I can get into the secondary education with teacher certification program for eventual entry to the literacy program or going ahead and applying to a Master’s in Higher Education Administration. Right now I don’t even know what I want to do with my life and just…Blah! I want to deal with English and literacy…[Read more]

    • At risk of sounding cliche, the most interesting people I’ve ever met were not sure what they wanted to do with their lives either. You’ll figure it out, and you will be great!

  • Jessica posted a new activity comment 3 years, 1 month ago

That’s true. Maybe it was rejected so I can get accepted into the literacy program. In any case, it’s one less thing I have to worry about.

I hear you! Whenever I had traditional employment I would feel like I’d been there for hours but it would only be ten minutes.

  • Jessica posted an update in the group Group logo of Worries and ProblemsWorries and Problems 3 years, 1 month ago

I really hope none of you are dealing with the nonsense of trying to get traditional employment because it is ridiculous! I keep checking my Indeed job listings as well as the business websites directly and nothing comes of it! I know there’s one hundred+ applicants for one job, but this is getting ridiculous! I swear to dog if nothing works…[Read more]
