Ah, the memories of when my friends got served dandelion coffee and dandelion salad leaves at college. I would delight in finding and serving free food.
So sorry Bill for the night you spent petrified you were dying after the meal with ink cap mushrooms from some field. You are still alive though aren’t you?
Thanks, Andrea for bringing back…[Read more]
I have no idea if this still works. I would do the teaching. That gives you something to fall back on. From teaching, admin is a route you can still take. The thing about teaching is that in England this is one area where you can find employment.
Be practical. If you have a family you may have breaks and need a career where you can do temp work…[Read more]
Yes, I am awake at 2.31am GMT.
I may work on my blogs. Now I know I can schedule posts, new opportunities are opening up to me.
I may get to like Blogjob yet. Now off to Adsence to figure out how I use that here.
Watch out for Amazon prices. Amazon have yet again advertised a book of mine with an astronomical price.
They always mess up
Then they put the book as unavailable because I tell them.
Next book I am not going to use Amazon at all. Nobody is going to want to take out a mortgage on a house to buy my books!
Are we allowed to post links to our books here on Blogjob?
I will have a search for your book.
I have self-published several books. I began using Lulu.com. I know others have not had a great experience, but usually the quality of print books has been fine.
The cover for a book I published on CreateSpace was disappointing.
Most of my work is Christian.
However, I took a number of old Bubblews posts and rewrote them into a…[Read more]
Jackalyn replied to the topic What kind of content you consider as a quality content? in the forum Writing Content 3 years, 1 month ago
Quality content will hold my interest and make me want to comment. I will not read anything that has a lot of mistakes or that is poorly written.
As SEO is not my force, I do not pay attention to that. I do not think SEO always produces the best article if the person is trying to work on links.
As others have said, the content must be 100%…[Read more]
I came here and stupidly thought I would write a blog a day.
I set up the blogs.
Of course, I have not written a blog a day. I haven’t written a blog a day every day for a week. It was totally unrealistic.
It is better to begin with a single blog. Build up from there. Some blogs have a life span. Others continue forever.
For a person like me…[Read more]
I would think it better to stick to personal unless you have a viable business.
Money from Blogjob probably won’t equate to that unless someone is very active indeed.
I need to start promoting. My concern 8s that too much Facebook promotion appears to have harmed other sites.
Is this a misconception I have?
With all shares I would imagine that the people most likely to read and share are also bloggers or writers who would like a return.
I was away from Blog job for ages. I was not banned. Maybe it is because I put up some sites and posted reasonable content before the gap then?
What I do find reassuring is that the admin look for quality over quantity. Is there not a way for Kyla’s friend to ask the reason for the deletion of her account. Sometimes software for any site does…[Read more]
Thank you so much for this. I had not thought of scheduling articles and it makes perfect sense.
Just now I have a book I was thinking of splitting and posting chapter by chapter. Scheduling ahead would be brilliant.
As an aside; note to self; Rex’s article is useful. Must see what else he has to say.
Last week, after all my good intentions I did not write another word.
I did get asked by yet another person if I would write something for free. I probably will, but I have got to stop doing this sort of thing.
I am supposed to make some kind of living from my writing.
Wait!I did write one other thing. I wrote a bill for a job I did for…[Read more]
