Feeling Better

I finally got my antidepressants/ fibromyalgia medicine a couple of weeks ago. I am feeling so much better. I finally don’t wake up hurting every day. I have more energy. My back pain has stopped.

I am so glad that my insurance finally approved me for it. I have been taking it for years and it is the only medicine that I have found to work that helps with both my depression and fibromyalgia.

I am on medicaid and they at first denied me my medicine so I had to go without it for about a little over a month. I take cymbolta and that kind of medicine it is bad to just quit cold turkey.

If you are on it and want to get off for whatever reason you are suppose to slowly wean yourself off it with the help of your doctor. If you don’t you experience some pretty bad withdrawal effects which is what I was experiencing.

On top of going thorough the negative withdrawal effects I also was starting to feel really lousy. I was getting super depressed and sore and had little energy. Working was a mission and a big challenge for me.

Waking up wasn’t even easy without my medicine. Now I am back on it and feeling better. I haven’t felt the full effects of it yet as it takes about six weeks for your body to feel it completely.

But I am glad that I am already back on it and it is starting to work. I am amazed at how different I feel. It is almost like night and day the difference between taking it and not having it.

Thank goodness they finally approved me for it. I am guessing that since I have two things, fibromyalgia and depression it is cheaper to just take one medicine instead of finding two that will work.
