Summer Cocktail Inspired Outfits

Hi my Lovelies!

What can be better than a Nice Refreshing Summer cocktail enjoyed on the beach? Why not get inspired by these girly cocktail drinks by creating a fun and chic Summer outfit? Here’s one to get you started:

Lets start with the Drink- Watermelon-Tequila Cocktails

1/4 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
8 cups diced seedless watermelon (1 pound)
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 3/4 cups blueberries
3/4 cup lightly packed fresh mint leaves, plus 8 sprigs for garnish
1 1/4 cups silver tequila
How to:
1. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a simmer with the sugar and stir over moderate heat until the sugar is dissolved, about 1 minute; let the sugar syrup cool.
2. In a blender, puree the watermelon until smooth. Set a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl and strain the watermelon juice, pressing gently on the solids to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the pulp.
3. In a large pitcher, combine the sugar syrup with the lime juice, blueberries and mint leaves. Using a wooden spoon, lightly muddle the blueberries and mint. Add the watermelon juice and tequila. Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
4. Pour the cocktail into tall ice-filled glasses. Garnish with the mint sprigs and serve

Summer Picnic Fashion

Summer is Officially (un-officially) here, which means bring on the Picnic parties. Ever not sure what to wear or bring with you to that picnic party ? Whether it’s a summer BBQ at the Park with a few friends or a picnic at the Lake or Beach, don’t forget these essentials!

Discover the Power of Yoga


Yoga is a wonderful activity that we ALL need. Yes, ALL of us, including the Males! Yoga helps us relax our mind, body and soul and feel at ease in the moment. Some days I just don’t feel like like “working out”, but I still try and find a Yoga Class to attend. After attending yoga I feel energized and refreshed and ready to take on the world! There’s just something so powerful about Yoga.

And no, I’m not a rubber band that you twist and bend in all sorts of directions. There’s no need to do that with yoga anyway.

Don’t worry if you aren’t able to do all the moves the first time, Practice makes Perfect remember? Keep going to Yoga, you’ll get better and feel so good afterwards!!!

How to Beat Stress

Having Stress is common among most Adults these days. Some of the Causes of Stress are due to Workload, job security, Money and Time.

Studies also show that 85% of the stuff that we worry about actually never happens, and an additional 80% of us say that when the worst does happen, we handle it better than we thought we would. So stop the Stressing, go out and enjoy the Fresh air, talk to a friend, listen to music, have a good laugh. These things are said to help you feel less stressed and people who do these things live longer happier lives.

New Healthy Cookies

A friend of mine shared this recipe with me and it sounded delicious! Here it is:

Ingredients: 2 eggs, 2 scoops TLS vanilla protein powder, 1/2 cup organic peanut Butter, 1/2 cup almond butter, 1/2 tsp baking soda, chocolate chips if you wish

Steps:  Form into cookie shape then add chocolate chips on top if you wish

Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees.

These are not sweet so you can add 1/2 cup applesauce if you want them sweeter

I love them because it’s guilt free snacking! Full if protein and fiber with the TLS powder. It has 10 grams of fiber per serving!

Tried Something New today



I’ve been going to the gym pretty consistently now (yay go me..for having more time and keeping a routine!) 🙂 Anyways, usually I choose to go the Zumba or some other workout class, which is  a good workout, but doesn’t allow me to build independent strength.

Today I tried working out on my own….Usually I just hop onto the Ellyptical and mindlessly stroll for 15-20 minutes. Today, I decided to change it up a bit and Worked out as follows:

5 min – Ellyptical (fast)

5 min- the “other” kind of Ellyptical (fast….incline 10)

5 min- Treadmill (fast walk 4.0)

5 min- Cycle (fast)

25 Squats (using the squat machine to perfect my form)…sometimes using Machines is good for this reason

25 Leg Presses

2 sets of 20 Adduction & Abduction Hips (2 sets of each)

2 sets of 25 Turso Rotations

100 Rows on Row Machine

Finished off with some Pilates Stretches and Leg Lifts (10 minutes)

Total Workout time: 1 hour

One hour is all you need for a good workout! There’s no need to think that you need any more than 1 hour. They also say just 30 minutes all you need. For beginners, yes start with the 30 minutes and work up to the 1 hour workout. Any longer you’re just wasting time, unless you have Millions of dollars in the bank…you can spend longer at the gym. If not, stick to the hour, shower fast and get on with your day. Also, don’t sit on the computer too long…take breaks. Take frequent breaks.

Why I’m not upset about the Disneyland price hikes



If you were on Social Media the past 2 days, most likely you have probably heard about the Disneyland Resort Price Hikes, and most likely there was probably some RANTING going on. In my opinion, that is just immature people who don’t know anything about business. Recently I read a blog from Babes in Disneyland about the Disneyland Price Hikes.

For those of you not aware of the Cost of Disneyland the Increase is as Follows:


$96- for a One-day One park ticket (Ages 10+)..up $4

$150- for a One day park Hopper (Ages 10+)..up $13

And, the “So-Cal” Annual pass has been eliminated, however those passholders who currently have it can still renew it.

The Cost of an AP pass went up as well, starting at roughly $350 for the lowest one and up to $699 for no block-out dates and includes price  of parking (Which also went up to $17).

Yes, I agree those prices are EXPENSIVE, and may bring in less people through the gates of Disneyland, but I’m not mad about the Disneyland Price Hikes, Why?

Everyone  that goes to Disneyland complains about how crowded it was or how expensive it was. And guess what? going to Disneyland is a PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT!!! No one is entitled to go to Disneyland, if you want to go, get off your Lazy ass and work hard for it! Yes, I know the economy is tough! Trust me I graduated College at the WORST time, but sitting on your butt and complaining about the rise of Disneyland, the Rise of gas prices, the rise of Food etc etc… is NOT going to do anything!! Why not be smarter with your money and find ways to SAVE so you can enjoy the finer things in life, like going to Disneyland? For example, instead of eating out all time, stay home and cook…it’s healthier for you too! Try walking to more places rather than using so much gas to drive to every little place and most importantly find ways to increase your income.
