If you are like me and love your sweet potato, and even better Sweet potato fries, you MUST try this recipe that I found online at beachbody.com (Well actually I found it on Pinterest).

Beachbody-Blog-Spicy-Sweet-Potato-Friesmmm…don’t they look tasty? The best part about these sweet potato fries are they are made at home and only contain 4 ingredients!!! So yes, “fries” can be somewhat healthy after all!! Just do not make them in a deep fryer and you will be good. Ready for the ingredients?? Okay, here goes:

2 large yams (cut in to quarters or wedges), this will probably be the hardest step, oh yeah you should peel them as well. 🙂

2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon of chilli powder

and a pinch of salt (for taste, salt is optional)

To make the sweet potato fries, after you cut the sweet potato into wedges, mix them in a large bowl with a drizzle of olive oil, then add in the chilli powder and mix well. If you want to add the salt, add the salt now.

Place the sweet potato wedges on a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake in a Preheated 400 degree oven for Twenty to Thirty minutes (or until crispy brown). I like my fries a little crunchy so I would keep it in the oven for longer. Oh yeah, turn the fries after Ten minutes so they cook even.

Eating healthy does not mean you have to cut out your favorite foods, sweet potatoes contain a lot of vitamin A and C, plus they are yummy. This recipe sounds like a good way to spruce up your sweet potato routine, so you do not get sick of eating plan sweet potatoes all the time.
