I got this as a jar gift a few years ago from a friend of mine that has a catering business. I could not believe how dreamy it tastes and it is perfect to serve to friends at small holiday get togethers with shortbread, sugar or snowball cookies. It’s also a great flavor to enjoy in the morning. while reading the paper or in the evening while watching TV with your honey.
It also makes an awesome gift to give away to people who come over for the holidays. I put 10 teaspoons in a baggy, and tie the top with a pretty ribbon and keep them in a bowl by the door to give to guests as they leave. It costs next to nothing and people always love to get gifts!
If you have friends that are real coffee lovers, then I give them a whole jar as a gift for Christmas. You simply take a pretty mason jar, and tie a pretty bow around it and fill it up with this cream. Sometimes I take a small bundle of cinnamon sticks and tie them to the jar with ribbon, just to make it more festive!
- 2 cups dry creamer
- 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
Whisk until thoroughly mixed and store in an air tight container.
If you would like to make your own powdered coffee cream this is the recipe I use. You can make it without the coconut oil, but the it will not be nearly as creamy in your coffee.
- 4 cups whole milk powder
- 1 cup organic powdered sugar
- 3 teaspoons of coconut oil, melted (optional)
Place the dry ingredients in a bowl with a tight fitting lid.
Slowly drizzle the melted coconut oil over the dry ingredients.
I put the lid on the bowl and shake hardy.
Take a butter knife and break up any chunks, then shake again
If you use the coconut oil, then you will need to shake the creamer every time you use it, so it stays mixed.
