I’ve already mentioned that water snakes make interesting and good pets. Still, since they exist in the wild, they have instincts that cause them to be cautious of people, whether the snake came from a pet store or was caught out in the wild. The cute little guy in the picture is a male western toad named Chirpy. He is an interesting little pet and it is enjoyable having him around. He was rescued from the middle of a busy road in the middle of the night. Even though toads are often not considered as a potential pet, they can be quite entertaining and since they tend to be docile by nature, they can become quite tame. Western toads are of a species that can be a great and interesting pet and they are quite common in many areas, though they might not be observed all that often. This means that western toads can be fairly easy to come by, however like most pets, they do require proper care if they are going to flourish. Legalities One of the first considerations regarding keeping a western toad as a pet is the legality involved with keeping it.
