I didn’t get to see the race at Talladega today but from the reports I’ve seen the winner didn’t so much win as he survived. One report said 35 of the 40 cars in the race were involved in some kind of wreck before it was all over.

I used to be big into NASCAR when real racers drove the cars, men like Richard Petty, Junior Johnson, Cale Yarborough, Davy Allison, and drivers of that sort ruled the real race tracks like Rockingham, Wilkesboro, Darlington, and Daytona.
