After the recent changes I won’t be able to transfer points to quiz winners here. However I will post questions and we can still have fun. Will see if I can give some other incentive.
-
Yes. Points are not, it is still fun to keep answering the puzzles. So, I am looking forward for the next set of questions. By the way, @sheridan has mentioned that the issues are getting solved and the site should be performing better soon.
-
Thanks for continuing to be active.
-
-
I look forward to it @ross. It’s just a shame you can’t use pictures at the moment either.
-
Yes. I’m used to using a lot of pics in my quizzes. Now I have type them out!

Another riddle puzzle.
Screenshot_2016-05-04-06-54-38-299-
I have seen this one before but I am not sure if I can give a good explanation. The answer is
13112221
-
The explanation is that you have to read the numbers aloud and then write them. so 1 becomes one 1.
11 is not eleven but two ones 21
21 is not twenty one but one2 and one 1 (1211)
1211 is then read as one 1, one 2, two ones. 111221Am I making any sense?
-
The next number in sequence is three ones, two twos and one one. (312211)
And then comes the answer one three, one one, two twos, two ones. (13112221)
The next sequence will be 1113213211.
-
Let’s keep this sequence alive and see how far we can go
After 1113213211, the next number is 31131211131221
-
This is getting complicated! @dawnwriter

Can you spot these four celebrities from the baby or childhood photos.
One point per correct answer. Max of two answers per person. _20160430_005643_20160430_005820_20160430_010019_20160430_010132-
I may be way out but I’m willing to take a guess.
Little girl bottom left looks like Kate Middleton, now Duchess of Cambridge, and the boy on top looks like David Beckham.
-
You are right . celebrities-as-children-david-beckham-1357733724-view-0
-
@gina145 both answers are right.
-
@gina145 Kate Middleton kate-middleton-baby-picture-1357300269-view-0
-
I have transferred two points to you @gina145
-
Thanks @ross.
-
-
-
In the middle maybe baby Beyoncé @ross
-
Yes @luciaanna this is Beyonce. beyonce-at-white-house-tumblr-1390214512-view-2_20160430_010019
-
@luciaanna I have transferred 1 point to you.
-
Thank you so much @ross. Got it.
-
-
-
Only one celeb is left unaccounted for. I will leave it open till someone gets it right.
-
I found the answer on Google, but that feels like cheating.
-
Reading that over it sounds bad. I mean the answer to the missing photo. Without looking I didn’t have a clue who that one was. When I tried to guess it, I even got the gender wrong.
-
To be honest. I would not have even known any of them apart from googling!
-
@ross I’d seen that photo of Kate Middleton somewhere before, so I was fairly confident of that one. As for David Beckham, I think it was just a lucky guess. I would never have worked out Beyonce though.

Summer is already here. Can you unscramble these summery words? To give everyone a turn, we will restrict to 2 words a person. You get one point for two right words. Screenshot_2016-04-28-07-07-31-848
-
First one is beach.
Second one is baseball. -
Third is Ice cream and fourth is swimming
-
@gayathri I have transferred the points.
-
-
watermelon – 8th
last one pool -
Picnic is # 5
-
You need to get two right to get one point. Picnic is right. Try getting another one @anne123farmer
-
@Ross Oh sorry I didn’t see that. I guess everything is solved now, Luciaanna has the rest of them done.
-
-
@anne123farmer I have transferred the points to you.
-
thanks

6/ VACATION
7/ SUNFLOWER-
@dawnwriter I have transferred two points to you.
-
@Ross I don’t see the points in my account as yet. i will let you know when that happens.
-
@dawnwriter the points are in your account. It looks like you have been very active. So the points show up on page 3 or 4 of your points history. The transaction is labelled at around 11:25 am.
-
Screenshot of the points you received. @dawnwriter Screenshot_2016-04-29-23-27-34-977
-
Thank you @Ross. I never doubted I will not receive my points but thank you for doing the detective work for me 🙂
-
-
-
-
-
So only 9, 10 and 11 are left unsolved. I will allow those who have answered already to have a go at these and remove the two per person guideline.
-
sandcastle : 9 @ross
-
heat: 10 @ross
-
pool and picnic
-
@cindiowens the answers are right.
-
-
boating: 11 @ross
-
I will transfer 2 bonus points to you for this @luciaanna
-
Thank you so much @ross. Just got them.
-
-
-
I have upgraded the points to one point for each correct answer. So most of you have got two points.
-
Thanks Ross. Received the points
-
@ross I did not get the points but hope it was given back to you
-
I checked again and points were transferred. If you did not receive them, it is probably because you had reached your daily limit.

There are two ways of solving this puzzle. Can you figure it out. Please mention the answer and how you got the answer. One point for the answer and 2 points for the explanation. _20160427_203603
-
Sir @ross
I think 1+4 = 1+4*1 = 5
2+5 = 2+5*2 = 12
3+6 = 3+6*3 = 21I guess
8+11 = 8+11*8
You answer
-
…..and your final answer is………
-
8+11*8 = 8+88 = 96
-
drumrolllllllllllllllll …… and the answer is right. This is one way of solving it.
-
@fun1oriented2learning Congrats!
-
-
-
@fun1oriented2learning I have transferred the 3 points.
-
Thanks Sir
-
-
-
I added 5,12,21,19=57
-
WOW @nana That’s another way.
From where you got 19 by the way?
-
You are thinking along the right track, but have the wrong answer!
-
-
40. You add the answer of the previous puzzle to the current eqution. Here it would be 21+8+11=40.
-
I got the same answer as @fun1oriented2learning using a slightly different method.
As the first column of numbers were 1,2,3, I assumed that there were missing numbers 4,5,6,7 before the 8.
Similarly with the second column, I filled in missing numbers to get a sequence 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11.
On that basis the third column of numbers…[Read more]-
@gina415 are you some kind of math wiz? Awesome.
-
That should be @gina145
-
@ross I was pretty good at math in my school days. So much so that I went on to study it at University, but I really hated what I did there because it seemed to have no relationship to reality.
-
That’s funny.
-
@fun1oriented2learning Not so funny really – I feel like my time at university was wasted because I’ve never used my degree.
-
-
Sounds interesting.
-
-
-
HAHAHA @gina145 I too thought like that initially. But realized that a simple way exists.
-
@fun1oriented2learning Your solution was very clever and a lot easier to explain. I wish I’d thought of that.
-
Why you feel like that @gina145
Degree may not work but knowledge is never waste.
-
@fun1oriented2learning I’m not sure I agree. Knowledge isn’t a waste if it’s something I’m interested in, but I’ve forgotten most of what I learned at university a long time ago.

-
I knew this answer but I forgot.
P.S Now I know the answer( Thanks go Big G) but it will not be fair to post.
-
Is it -40 @ross?
-
@gayathri I think that your reply is correct
-
@gayathri you are right. Congrats. Will transfer the points to you soon.
-
Thanks @Ross.
-
@gayatri Congrats!
-
-
-
@gayathri I have transferred three points to you.
-
Thanks Ross. But Why three points? I thought it is 1 point for this answer.
-
Each question has about three points. I usually have different parts in each question, but this was straight forward.
-
Oh!Thanks. Then I grabbed the question at the right time.

How many bones are in the human body. How many bones are there in each foot. How many bones are there in each hand.
One point for each answer. Can we restrict to answering one question each to give many people a chance.-
27 bones in each hand @ross
-
Not sure about that. A relative of mine, a medical student (he just came here to visit us) told me that we have to consider the sesamoid bone.
-
27 is the right answer. Sesamoid bones are variable and not always seen. @luciaanna
-
Thank you @ross
-
congrats
-
Thank you @peachpurple
-
-
@luciaanna I have done the point transfer.
-
-
-
-
There are 206 bones in the human body. At birth the human body contains 270 bones which before attaining adulthood decrease to 206 by fusion of some bones.
-
There are 26 bones in each foot.
-
I have completed the points transfer for this quiz. Next one coming up soon.

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
That’s right.
A friend in need is a friend indeed
@Ross, as usual I have answered two.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
A stitch in time saves nine.
Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.
@dwdavis @gina145 @gayathri you have solved all of them. Will do another question soon.
